A Thank You + A Surprise

Before I get into today’s post, I have to say thank you. Thank you so much to every one of you who showed love and support over the past few days. I had no idea that I would write the post to my grandpa on Tuesday night and have him pass away the next morning. Even though we knew the end was near, the news of his passing took my breath away and left me feeling “but that was too soon”. It’s one of those things that even when we feel prepared, we are never prepared. But again, thank you to each one of you who have poured out love, prayer, hugs, etc. The next few days will be hard saying our final goodbyes to my grandfather, but what a great life we get to honor. You internet people are pretty dang special. Love and more love to every last one of you. So while I am off taping pictures on picture boards, pulling out any articles of black clothing I own, and eating lots of great homemade food made with lots of love for my family and I, I have a treat for you.
