I really wasn’t lieing when I said-“If you don’t hear from me Tuesday, I am probably sleeping.” Because guess what? I was. And I drooled. I think that means I was extra tired. Anyhow, time to share with you the exciting fun-filled activities that this past weekend consisted of. While it was very busy and very tiring, it was very fun.
And that’s a lot of verys, geesh.
Saturday marked our first ever annual (possibly) bus trip, planned by my mother.
I always thought bus trips were either for middle schoolers or 80 yr-old women but apparently, they are the cool thing to do at any age. So 45 of us ladies headed off to Chicago to the great place of IKEA and Woodfield Mall.
If you have never been to an IKEA I would highly recommend it. I would also recommend allowing yourself 4 hours minimum to walk race around, and good walking shoes to do so in.
I’ll be sweet & short about the day (this does not happen very often):
It was fun, I bought stuff, end of story.
Here are some pics of the day:
Sweet ride, eh?
I look so happy.
My beautiful mom & sister =)
Another beaut-Amy.
Just call me MC Erin E.
I about died in this room. If only I could wake up to this every morning.
Just a few of our purchases
Hello Mall.
Here are some lovely little glasses I bought. Cute right?
After Saturday, Sunday approached. Weird how that works. I woke up bright and early to attend a Bridal shower brunch for a good friend of mine Brittany, aka BT. It was so fun to catch up with some lovely ladies from High School.
The rest of the day was spent…shopping. Husband was in the mood to experience a little bit of what I did Saturday I guess. I put up no fight because thats how good of a wife I am and went along, it was fun, like a real date-dinner and all.
Then came Monday, my dads birthday. We celebrated like it was 1955. No pun intended.
Two of my most favorite people in the world. And they were born like a week apart. Word on the street is all the cool cats are born in March. Thanks parents for making me miss out on that trend.
And to top it all off, this is what I woke up to this morning:
Founder and creator of LIY, Erin turned her dream of a hobby blog into a full-time career which she now runs alongside the LIY team! When not in front of her computer screen [with a La Croix or wine in hand] or in front of a mirror taking mirror selfies, you can find Erin spending time on the water, cuddled up with her two pups and husband most likely watching the latest Shark Tank episode, or getting lost in an easy beach read.
The wonderful world of meal delivery services. Also known as, the easiest way to whip up delicious meals in a short amount time, no grocery runs required. I’m sure you have heard of several different brands of dinner boxes, meal delivery services, whatever you want to call it [I prefer “those kits that magically appear […]
If there’s one thing the LIY Team did this Summer [besides go for boat rides and drink seltzers] – it was read. Audio books, Kindle editions, good old fashion physical copies… you name it, we read it. While we went through a few that weren’t so great, we did find a few worth passing along! […]
