It Turns Out Eating Healthy Isn’t All That Easy…

You may recall recently when I announced that my husband is now knee deep in a weight loss challenge with some friends at work which really means, I’m now also in a weight loss challenge but with nobody. This whole “can’t buy chips or make mac and cheese for dinner” thing is something I’m not very accustomed to and still trying to figure out if I dig it or not. As much as I try to think that I know a thing or two about proper nutrition, it’s a lot easier to “know” than to “do”. Like yeah, that cup of blueberries looks refreshing but so does that giant Sunkist in the checkout aisle. While I am trying to work a little harder at eating the things that are actually good for me [such a crazy concept I know], I was pumped when I saw I was going to get a little help from my friends over at OLLY Nutrition [we are hooked on OLLY in this house!]. With the launch of their Super Foods multivitamins, I am able to get my intake of my daily nutrients plus a boost of phytonutrients from 10 of the most nutritious foods on the planet.

You understand what this means right? I don’t have to spend countless hours in the produce aisle, at home chopping everything up and shoveling it all into my mouth within 48 hours to stay fresh just to meet my nutritional needs. 2 gummies and wham bam thank you ma’m, I’m loaded up on
all my daily essential vitamins and minerals, PLUS unique antioxidants not found in standard multivitamins. Winning. Also awesome is that they come in women’s, men’s and kid’s form meaning the whole fam damily can be “suped up” on their super foods. That was a pun, get it? Here’s what these little gummies are holding inside of them:

  • blueberries
  • pomegranate
  • acai
  • watercress
  • grapes
  • beets
  • elderberry
  • tamarind
  • wheatberry
  • papaya

While these OLLY Super Foods vitamins are a great supplement, I have been enjoying a few healthier snacks thanks to the enforcement of my husband. A great salad I put together recently consisted of a nice spring mix of lettuce with a little bit of kale, edamame, peppers, almonds, blueberries, raspberries and avocado cilantro dressing to top it all off. You can try that one on for size if you feel like getting healthy with things.

A couple more quick items to note – OLLY Super Foods is gluten free and 100% vegetarian so eat up. Last but certainly not least, right now you can use the code SUPER20 to receive 20% off your first subscription of any OLLY products now through 3/30/16. Just click here and get that party started.

What’s your favorite super food?
We cannot make any connection between OLLY’s products and weight loss.

Disclosure: While all opinions are my own, I have partnered with Olly Nutrition to raise awareness around this “super” new product. All puns are also my own.
