LIY Team WFH Roundup: Warm Weather Edition

June 10, 2020

Erin Schrader

Summer is un-officially here, folks! Sure, the official first day of summer isn’t until mid-June [June 20th to be exact], but if there’s one thing we’re not great at around here, it’s containing our excitement. Besides, anything after Memorial Day Weekend counts as summer right? Right. While the weather is heating up, Team LIY is playing it cool. As cool as we’ll ever be, which realistically isn’t saying much. Anywho, new season, same safe-at-home routine. We get it. In times like these, it’s easy to get cabin fever [pun intended- you can get the lowdown about our cabin here]. But if we’re going to be working from the comfort of home, we might as well do it comfortably. Our coffee mugs are half full, friends. Today we’re bringing you a few warm weather outfits perfect for working from home, running errands, or anything else on your agenda. Whatever your new normal is, we’re here to keep you comfy and cool [hopefully cooler than yours truly].

ERIN

Daily Ritual Sandwashed Modal Romper [true to size, wearing in small] // Option with sleeves // Jumpsuit version // Tory Burch Miller Sandals [size up .5]

I can’t stop and won’t stop with this sandwashed modal fabric from Daily Ritual at Amazon. This romper is the softest, most comfortable romper I’ve ever slipped on making it an awesome option when working from home. The fabric is nice and cool while being so crazy cozy. While this romper is currently sold out in most colors and sizes, there are other versions of it available which are linked above under the photo! I highly recommend getting your work on while wearing this fabric!

PJ Salvage Sweatshirt [true to size, wearing in small] // Amazon Shorts [true to size, wearing in small] // Tory Burch Miller Sandals [size up .5]

You know it’s a comfortable work from home outfit when the top is actually meant to sleep in. Jokes on your fellow Zoom-mates. I love this short sleeve sweatshirt that yes, could be worn to bed but better yet, as you take on your daily to-do list. I think it pairs perfectly with denim shorts or a comfy pair of linen shorts like I’m wearing here!

BECCA

Dress [TTS, wearing in XS] // Sneakers [TTS]

Normally, this work from home look would be accompanied by no makeup and a messy bun, but I thought I would put myself together a bit for the photo! This t-shirt dress is the perfect work from home option! It’s comfortable and more stretchy than other t-shirt dresses I have gotten in the past from Old Navy, which I like. I love the contrasting collar and the fun leopard print. This dress will be on repeat throughout the summer!

Top [TTS, wearing in XS] // Shorts [TTS, wearing in XS] // Sandals [TTS]

Here is the perfect Zoom-ready WFH outfit for summer! This top is lightweight, soft and comfortable while giving off the professional vibes needed for a video meeting! I paired it with a pair of pull-on linen shorts for comfort and a cute pair of snakeskin sandals to bring it all together!

HANNAH

Tank [Size down if in between, wearing in XS] // Shorts [true to size] // Sneakers [true to size] // Cardigan [true to size]

My Summer outfits are drastically different than what I normally wear throughout the year lol We are outside A LOT as a family during the Summer [walks, playing outside, swimming, bike rides, etc..] and my daily outfits tend to be much more comfortable and casual so I can play with my kids while also getting work done! Athletic wear is a personal favorite because it’s comfortable enough to be outside in and can be paired with a cardigan to look more put together for work calls! This tank has the cutest strappy back detail and these shorts have POCKETS which is a gamechanger and I can’t forget about these sneakers that are so bright and fun!

LAUREN

Dress [TTS, wearing medium] // Denim Jacket [TTS, wearing medium] // Sandals [size up .5]

Two things I’m living in right now- dresses and slip on sandals! This non-maternity swing dress has a bit of stretch to it, so it works for an 8-month bump and will also fit after pregnancy! It’ll probably just have a lot more swing to it then! Plus these sandals are SO comfy! I knew I loved Sorel for winter gear, but now I’m stepping into their summer game!

CASSIDY

Linen Cropped Pants [TTS, XS] //  Knit Sweater Tank Top [TTS, XS]

These linen pants are perfect as the temps rise! They are so comfortable and have an elastic waistband while still having a button and functional zipper! I love how they can be dressed up or down! I’m also loving this knit tank; ultra comfy and super breathable/lightweight!
