Simple Ways To Refresh Your Home For Spring!

April 27, 2018

There is no better decor time for your home than spring [okay, that might be a lie because hello, Christmas] but, it has to rank right up there. Spring brings such a freshness and newness along with it. Everything seems to get lighter, brighter and a lot more cheerful – from people’s personalities [it’s amazing what some Vitamin D can do for the spirit] to the food we consume [grilled veggies ALWAYS] and of course – the items we furnish our home with. Over the past week I’ve been trying to swap out my everyday decor with some new finds for spring and summer, so today I thought I would share them with you!

I picked everything up in Macy’s after falling in love with their home department when we redid our master bedroom [see that project here]. They carry several brands that I absolutely love from Whim by Martha Stewart, Kelly Ripa Home and the always fun and classy Kate Spade. The added bonus is that the Macy’s Friends and Family Event is running now through May 7th which means you can score up to an EXTRA 30% off on items! If you too are looking to spruce up your space for spring and summer, there is no better time than NOW to get your hands on some of these on sale items from Macy’s! I think it’s important to remember that you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg when changing pieces out for the seasons – just a few pillows, a seasonal throw and a piece or two of decor is enough to make it feel different. Okay, let’s take a little tour around the house to see what I added in, come on in!

We will start in the living room – the place where pillows and colors abound. It was here that I simply swapped out the faux fur that was there from winter to this whimsical Martha Stewart Tassel Throw and replaced the pillows with these oh so springy Vera Bradley pillows Martha Stewart Tassel Throw // Vera Bradley Cuban Tiles Pillow

Next up, the other couch which needed a touch of something too. Macy’s has a ton of fun pillows right now and when I saw this “The Snuggle is Real” pillow I couldn’t resist! Lacourte The Snuggle Is Real 16″ x 24″ Embroidered Chenille Decorative Pillow

From there, we will shift our eyes to the fireplace where I added a couple of these olive trees which are just the cutest things ever. If you are looking for some greenery to add to your home, I highly recommend these. The best part – they come in these vases with fake dirt and the chances of you killing them are less than zero. Hallelujah. Nearly Natural 2-Pc. 18″ Olive Tree Set

Moving onwards, we will head to our “outdoor room” [aka a different living room]. This space is where a cocktail or two is consumed, a lot of just chillin’ happens and leads us to our favorite place of all – the pool out back! It only made sense to add this “It’s always wine o’clock” pillow to this chair below our BAR sign and this HELLO door mat to make people feel welcome, no matter what room they are in. Lacourte 14″ x 24″ Embroidered Chenille Decorative PillowBungalow Flooring Water Guard Simple Hello 2’x3′ Doormat

Last but certainly not least, a few extra spring kitchen touches that I picked up at Macy’s. Is anybody else obsessed with kitchen decor and accessories? I could literally never have enough. Do I need fourteen thousand dish towels and serving bowls? Maybe not..but do I NEED fourteen thousand dish towels and serving bowls? Absolutely. Vera Bradley Serving Bowl // Martha Stewart Collection 2-Pc. Fiesta Kitchen Towel Set

The same response is true for Moscow mule cups. When I spotted these floral mugs I couldn’t hit “add to cart” fast enough.

Last but certainly not least, the coffee station [give me all of the caffeine please]. While I am not a cream and sugar girl [I’ll drink it black alllllll day long] my husband nearly every guest who walks into our home requires at least one or the other. Make your friends and family feel equipped with these adorable sugar and creamer containers… Kate Spade Ceramic Milk Creamer Container // Kate Spade Sugar Container

I die. Job well done Macy’s for delivering the most adorable spring touches for your home this season. Remember to shop their giant Friends and Family Sale while it’s going on! Happy redecorating friends!
