If you’re a lover of all things summer, water, nautical vibes, and good times then you’ve come to the right place! I am so excited to officially introduce our Lake Day sign collection with Joyfully Said! Last year we did our first lake day-inspired collaboration and it was a hit [you can see those two signs here!] Because so many of you loved what we did last year, we thought we’d bring you even more choices this year to hang in your home! Whether you live on the water, simply love shades of blue, or have a friend or family member who would love one of these signs for their homes, there is something for everybody! It is such a joy to work with my sister and her team at Joyfully Said to create these masterpieces — all made in Middlebury, Indiana in their workshop with lots of love [and talent]. All of the signs you see are made out of wood and can easily hang on any wall with a simple nail or two! My hope is that these signs bring you the same joy that we received when creating them and that every time you see them hanging on your wall they bring a smile to your face! Now, let’s dive in and meet the signs that are sure to make a splash [pun intended]!
I don’t mean to choose favorites, but this trio [can also be purchased individually] has to be it! I love the modern look of the clean lines and color block shades of blue! Available in two sizes, you can hang these in a grouping, alone or mix them in with an already established gallery wall you have going on! They make such a fun statement on any wall, I love looking at them as I go up and down our stairs! Awesome for a living room, bedroom, dining room, or in your entry!
It’s simple, it’s clean, it’s fresh, and it’s to the point. There’s something refreshing about this modern water sign that reminds you of the calming effect of water every time you read the word. I now have this sign hanging in our living room next to the windows looking out over the lake and I love that it’s telling of what’s waiting on the other side of the walls. Hang it vertically or horizontally, there are a few sizes to choose from in this style! This also makes for a fun addition to a gallery wall, cute in a bathroom or next to your favorite window with a view!
The real beauty of the group, this abstract art represents the shoreline with these beautiful shades of blue and a hint of gold which reminds me exactly of the beach and shoreline. It’s a beautiful statement and has a sophisticated yet calming appeal to it. I can almost hear the waves rolling in every time I look at this masterpiece.
Make your lake house official with this customized lake house sign! Complete with your last name, the name of your lake, and the coordinates to your home, this is a must-have sign for any lake house owner and makes for such a meaningful gift for somebody! Whether you hang it alone or pair it with another sign from our collection, it’s a great way to symbolize your lake life pride.
A sign that holds my favorite song lyrics from Tom Petty’s Wildflower song – “you belong among the wildflowers, you belong in a boat out at sea. sail away, kill off the hours, you belong somewhere you feel free”. I have always been a big fan of Tom and this song for so many reasons. There’s just something so beautiful to me about the visual of belonging among the wildflowers or sailing away out at sea, freedom is what I live for and these lyrics capture that desire perfectly. I now have this hanging near our bar/living room and I love that every time I come in from outside it’s the first thing I see. If you love these lyrics as much as I do, this sign is for you!
And there we have it – our complete Lake Day Collection! I hope you love it oh so much and that your home is happier with one of these signs in it!
Founder and creator of LIY, Erin turned her dream of a hobby blog into a full-time career which she now runs alongside the LIY team! When not in front of her computer screen [with a La Croix or wine in hand] or in front of a mirror taking mirror selfies, you can find Erin spending time on the water, cuddled up with her two pups and husband most likely watching the latest Shark Tank episode, or getting lost in an easy beach read.
