Whew! What a year 2020 has been. And to think we’ve made it through twelve whole months of it?! We all deserve a pat on the back and an extra glass of [adult] holiday nog. The holidays are so close I can taste them– or maybe that’s just the cutout cookies I’ve been munching on all day. But that’s neither here nor there. It’s safe to say I’m embracing everything the season has to offer, from head to toe. And by “head to toe”, I’m referring to fluffy pom beanies to the coziest slippers I can slip into. It’s the little things these days, friends. And I’m doing it all with a little help from Express.
Back in the day [you know, as in 2019], I tended to turned to Express for cocktail dresses, the best office attire, and date night outfits– don’t worry, they still have plenty of all of that! But in typical 2020 fashion, I’m opting for more cozy, casual, and Zoom-appropriate looks. Today I’m sharing a sprinkle of each, all in a shade I didn’t see coming this season. If you guessed the color blush [ding, ding, ding!], you guessed right. It’s one of the many reasons I love Express; it’s the one stop shop for everything you didn’t know you needed. From workwear to lounge wear, they’ve got it all- in colors you don’t always expect to fall in love with. And if that’s not enough to make you swoon, right now, December 17-18 it’s all 50% off!
Snuggle up, Scotty! If there’s one thing I love about beanie season, it’s the ability to disguise four days worth of dry-shampoo hair. This one is as snug as me sitting on the rug. 😉 ps. It pairs nicely with a fluffy scarf to wrap yourself up in on chilly winter days. Take my word for it, you’ll be wishing for a winter wonderland to break out this dynamic duo [AKA hat + scarf] for.
Let’s get down to business. While the holidays are only ten days away [yes 1-0! But who’s counting?], there are still a few work days to work through and Zoom calls to dial into. Whether you’re working from home or back at the office, a classic blazer means business. I paired this blush beauty with one of my favorite camis– seriously, I’ve been raving about these buttery soft babes for years. If you don’t already own one, I can pinky promise you’ll get a TON of wears out of those bad boys. As for bottoms, if you’re WFH, pants are optional. No judgement here. But if you do decide to put on real clothes, may I suggest these? They had me at “Button Fly”.
If the more casual approach is your jam, look no further. This bateau neck tee is ribbed and flowy enough to allow space for all the cutout cookies you can eat. I paired it with the same Button Fly Skinny Jeans for a casual “another-day-at-home” look. And never fear, the buttons are also cutout cookie tested and approved by yours truly. Go ahead, take another trip to the pantry. You deserve it.
When it’s finally time to call it a day, there’s no better way to kick back and relax than slipping into a pair of oh-so cozy slips. And if you’re lucky enough to work from home, you can slide around in this dreamy pair all day long. Of course, maximum comfort is never reached until you break out the bathrobe. For me, it was love at first sight. There’s just something about satin that makes a girl feel like a million bucks, for a price much less than a million bucks. Disclaimer: you may never leave the couch again. You’ve been warned!
