One thing that makes us go weak in the knees? J.Crew and J.Crew Factory cuteness [and their sales make our knees give out 100%]. From the classic neutrals to the preppy plaids to the bits of holiday sparkle, we truly can’t get enough. The Living in Yellow Team recently strolled the digital aisles of J.Crew Factory to see what sort of goodies were on the shelves, and to say we hit the jackpot is an understatement! Take a look at what we found, and maybe your self control will be better than ours was 😉

Vail Parka [true to size, wearing in 4] // Hi-Rise Skinny Jeans [size down if in between] // Booties [true to size]
If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you know that one of my all-time favorite go-to coats is the J.Crew City Coat, when I saw this Vail Parka with the fur around the hood and gold button details, I knew I wanted to try it. Just like the city coat, it doesn’t disappoint. I can’t get over this color for winter, there’s just something so eye-catching about it! I’ll definitely be rocking this all winter long!
Sweater Jacket [size down if in between, wearing in XS] + Cocktail Tee [true to size, wearing in small]
I love a good sweater jacket and this one may be at the top of my list. I love the color combo of navy, camel and red: unexpected but pairs perfectly together. I wasn’t sure what I was going to wear under it but when I saw this cocktail tee with red sprinkled in, I wanted to try it. Pair cocktails with anything and it’s a success 😉
Hi-Rise Skinny Jeans [size down if in between]
Slap the word hi-rise on anything and I’ll add to cart faster than I consume microwaved nachos with cheese [that’s saying a lot, friends]. I bought these jeans a few months ago and have worn them often. If you prefer jeans that aren’t super skinny at your ankles, these do have a looser fit. I love the button fly and raw hem and at this price, you can’t afford not to buy them [or so my logic says].
Sneakers [true to size]
Leopard really is the new neutral. I’m starting to believe if something doesn’t have leopard, I shouldn’t be wearing it [I realize this may be a problem but we’re all here to be honest with one another]. When I spotted these sneakers [that was a leopard pun] I knew I wanted to try them at their price point of $30. While I thought my feet looked slightly balloon-ish [this happens to my feet semi-frequently], I thought they were at least cute balloons. I’d recommend if you’re easing your way into the leopard sneaker trend!

Sweater [TTS, wearing in XS] // Jeans [TTS] // Similar Flats // Blue Light Blocking Glasses
I now understand why this sweater is called super-soft!! The minute I slipped this one on I knew it was a keeper!! A closet staple and an easy to turn to top when you just aren’t sure what to wear!
I may or may not have lost or misplaced my other pair of Blue light glasses a time or two [lol] so I decided it was time to have a back up!! This pair surprised me, the quality is really nice and I like the all black frames!
Bead Bracelet // Link Bracelet
I’m ALL about the stacking bracelets! It’s a fun and easy way to elevate an outfit without all the fuss! This duo can be worn together, separate or mix and matched with other bracelets!

Après Ski Sweatshirt [size up one, wearing small] // Highest Rise Button Fly Skinny Jean [wearing in 26P, true to size, but should’ve done the classic inseam for 5’4”] // Sneakers [true to size, wearing 8]
I’ve tried to snow ski once, and let me say I’m all about the Après Ski culture part of skiing: sitting by a fire with a glass of wine. Anyone with me? Now, I can Après Ski in my Après Ski Sweatshirt (even if it’s just at home). The buttonfly jeans I paired with my other outfit as well, and as mentioned if you’re 5’4” or over I would go with the classic inseam.
Heather Tissue Turtleneck [true to size, wearing xs, Heather Canyon] // Highest Rise Button Fly Skinny Jean [wearing in 26P, true to size, but should’ve done the classic inseam for 5’4”] // Reversible Tote Bag // Booties [size down .5]
A simple turtleneck is always a great piece to have in your closest! You can dress it up or down and I love the Khaki color. These button fly jeans are comfy with a fun, raw hem! If you’d like a pair that is a little less of a high rise, check out these.
I’m a big fan of hoop earrings. I have some that are tiny and some that are larger, so of course I needed some in between! These are simple, dainty, and perfect to throw on with any look.
We had a photoshoot today here at LIY and when I say I put everything in this bag, I mean everything. Boots, hairspray, laptop, makeup, Naked juice….it all fits in this baby. I get bored easily, so I’m excited to have a reversible bag that I can switch out when I’m ready for a color change!

Boyfriend Fit Flannel Shirt [true to size, wearing medium] // Blue Light Blocking Glasses // Similar Vest
I’m always looking for more shirts to wear under vests, and this flannel shirt was a great addition! It’s considered a boyfriend fit, but I found it to be more fitted… but maybe I just need to get to the gym a bit more, ha!
Vail Parka [True to size, wearing 6] // Scarf // Hat // Blue Light Blocking Glasses
I’ve had this coat for about a year now, and there’s a good reason J.Crew Factory keeps restocking it! It’s a classic fit with a good weight to it for cold Midwest winters! Believe it or not, there are other options than a puffer [sometimes ;)] I simply added in some new accessories this year, with this hat and scarf!
I’ve been using blue light blockers for awhile now, but the Amazon pair I was using had a pretty decent glare to them. These, my friend, do not [at least when I’m not taking a photo]. I’ve only been wearing this specific pair for a few days but truly notice a consistent difference in eye strain when I wear blue light blockers verses when I don’t!

Heather Tissue Turtleneck [true to size, wearing xs, Heather Canyon] // Highest Rise Button Fly Skinny Jean [wearing in 26P, true to size, but should’ve done the classic inseam for 5’4”]
I feel like turtlenecks are all the rage this year so I had to get my hands on some new ones! I really love the quality of this one. It feels lightweight and breathable without being see through or suffocating, ha!
Heather Tissue Turtleneck [true to size, wearing xs, Heather Canyon] // Highest Rise Button Fly Skinny Jean [wearing in 26P, true to size, but should’ve done the classic inseam for 5’4”]
These button fly jeans were unfortunately a fail for me. They are meant to be full length skinny jeans but ended up being capris! I definitely should have ordered the normal length [I’m 5’4!] That being said, I loved the high waist and raw hem!
Gold Door Knocker Earrings // Crystal Ear Cuff // Gold Ear Cuff
Accessorize those ears, girl! I have always loved the way multiple earrings/ear cuffs look but never actually got my ears pierced past my lobe, SO I have been loving these ear cuffs! They are a little sensitive and can fall off if they are not on tightly enough! I am also digging how they look with these gold earrings!

Tunic Sweater [TTS, wearing medium Hthr Camel] // Denim [TTS] // Flats [TTS]
FOUND: the perfect legging-friendly tunic for the season. While I styled it here with jeans, I felt totally comfortable in the front and back if I swapped denim for leggings. At 5’5″ it was all covered! Another super soft option, available in several colors. True to size!
Crewneck Sweater [TTS, wearing medium Hthr Acorn] //Denim [TTS] // Flats [TTS]
I’m a sucker for closet staples. If you’re in need of a basic crewneck sweater, J. Crew Factory will never let you down. This one is true to size [slightly oversized, so size down if in between], amazingly soft & cozy, and comes in several colors. Go ahead and stock up for season while you’re at it. 😉
