One of the best parts of the holidays is putting up all of our festive holiday decor! One of the worst parts of the holidays is tangled light strands, smashed wreaths, and digging through bin after bin trying to find what I’m looking for. Don’t waste all that precious time next holiday season. Put your decor away in an organized way this year with these simple organization solutions!
Christmas Tree
Upright Christmas Tree Storage Bag
First things first, let’s talk about the main event of holiday decor – the tree. Growing up, we simply took out the faux branches, folded them back up, and stuck them in the original cardboard box it came in. Back into the deep dark corners of the basement it went, until next year. You can imagine what that cardboard box looked like after a few years! Insert this brilliant invention! No more taking apart the tree at all! Simply wrap it up in the bag, secure it in place, and move it into storage! Next year, you simply move it where you want the tree to go, unwrap it, and voila, your Christmas tree is setup!
Ornaments
2-in-1 Christmas Ornament Storage Box & Figurine Container
Whether your ornaments are shatterproof or not, keeping them neatly organized will keep them from breaking, scratching, and untangled! These boxes are so handy for keeping the ornaments separated and to easily find the ones you’re looking for!
Lights
Is there anything worse than tangled lights when you’re trying to become the neighborhood Griswold house? I think not. Wrap your lights around the roll, place ’em in the box, bada bing bada boom you’re ready to make things shine again next year!
Wreaths
Dust, bugs, and moisture, oh my! Keep your wreaths looking brand new year after year with a little security blanket for your round friends!
Wrapping Paper
While the container is red and green, this gift paper organizer can be used to store your wrapping paper for all occasions – birthdays, weddings, baby showers and more! Plus, it has a few compartments to throw in your bows, ribbons, labels, tape and more! Slide it into the closet or under the bed until your next big wrapping day!
Bins
What do reindeer, candles, pillows, table runners, and mistletoe all have in common? They’re all getting tossed [gently] in a bin! For all of the miscellaneous holiday decor I have left, I simply place it all in a bin together so that next year I can bring it all upstairs and disperse the decor throughout the house! Do I have enough candles to probably fill a bin itself? That may or may not be the case.
Cards
Last but not least, you can’t forget about all of the holiday cards. If you’re somebody who loves to keep your cards year after year [I never know what to do with them when the season ends but often regret throwing them in the trash], this is the organizer for you! Whether you want to organize by the year, alphabetically, or by holiday, the world is your oyster! Never throw another card away again and hold on to memories [in a very organized way] for years to come!
