Welcome to quite possibly the CUTEST blog post LIY has ever hit publish on! Introducing, the kiddos of Living in Yellow. That’s right, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale isn’t just for us, ladies. We’re taking full advantage of these markdowns while they last– happening right now through August 30th. After that prices go back up, so if you’re in the market for some new gear for your little ones, it’s go time! With literally thousands of brand-spankin’ new items available, it’s completely understandable that the sale can be overwhelming. Luckily, we were able to round up a few little munchkins to show off the all the goodness that the Kids section has to offer. The LIY Team graciously volunteered their own to get the job done and they did not disappoint! From a fresh 6 week old babe to a 7 [going on 8!] year old and everywhere in between, we’re bringing the best of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Kids Edition.
Two Piece Set [true to size]
And I was like baby baby baby ohhhhh 🎶 Hayes is shopping his first Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and is clearly thrilled his mother’s outfit selection. This two piece set is under $20 and a perfect gift for any babies in your life!
Nike Romper [true to size]
“Just Do It!” aka just take the picture, mom. While he’s not shooting hoops just yet, Hayes could be the next MJ in this Nike getup!
Hooded Bunting [runs big!]
Bring on cuddle season with this cozy hooded bunting! Days at the pumpkin patch are practically calling his name! [Fit tip: it runs big!]
If you or someone you know are having a baby soon, I cannot recommend this baby blanket enough as a gift! The Little Giraffe brand is insanely soft, and this one blanket is majorly marked down during the anniversary sale!
Here’s the perfect fall outfit! I can picture her at the pumpkin patch, playing in piles of leaves and doing all the fall activities while she rocks this little get up! The jacket is well made and super warm, and the jeggings are surprisingly soft! And don’t even get me started on the shoes! Just. So. Cute.
This adorable little outfit is ultra comfy too! A cozy sweatshirt [p.s. It comes in a set with joggers!], buttery soft leggings and comfy sneakers! And the moto leggings and floral shoes add just a little bit of edge and fun!
So the toddler photoshoot was going a little less well at this point and standing just wasn’t happening anymore, but hey we still got some smiles! This jumpsuit is perfect for the cooler months! It is a thick fleecey material, soft and warm! It has a cute tie waist and cinching in the back. And most importantly, it has snaps for easy diaper changes!
Grey Cozy Set [TTS]
I love the neutral colors, which can be lacking sometimes in the baby/toddler girls sections. That’s why I always check out the baby/toddler boys sections too! They often have some great neutral colored pieces that can work well for girls too! Just like this cozy little set which can be worn together or separately!
Briggs & Hayes Patagonia Jackets [true to size]
Matching outfits until they’re in college? I think so! While I probably won’t be able to get them to actually oblige to that [especially wearing outfits with ears], for now I’m soaking up their matching warm Patagonia hooded jackets with the cutest ears! Available for both toddler and baby!
Puffy vests aren’t just for us ladies at the pumpkin patches! Briggs is ready for fall outings with this Tucker + Tate vest and reversible tshirt! Plus pull on stretchy waist jogger jeans are great for his age [think potty training]!
Little Vans for your little kiddos! Step up their shoe game this school [or virtual school] year with these cute Vans!
While this top wasn’t his favorite at first, because it didn’t have a lion, dinosaur or shark on the front of it [lol] the minute I showed him it was reversible he thought it was “so cool!!” There’s nothing better than a top that has fun features for kids! And these boots are a must!! We always buy him a dressier pair of shoes for the year and he really liked these on!
Favorite part of the Anniversary Sale, stocking up on pieces I would never normally buy my kids while they are on major sale! This pullover is just a litttttle big, but he was able to wear a shirt underneath and he will definitely get his wear out of this one!
If I let him wear these types of outfits every day, he would! He’s really into all things sports and I always stock up on Nike, Adidas and Under Armour during the sale! He typically hits a growth spurt in September so I size up making everything a bit large so he is able to wear pieces longer!
I really like the weight of this pullover because it is more of a tee shirt weight, but cozy like a normal hoodie. Don’t even get me started on how cute these pants are! That pocket detail = all the heart eyes! AND how cute are these Vans? They coordinate with lots of outfit choices and seem durable for little boy play. Win and Win!
While my sweet boy was definitely DONE with changing his clothes and pictures by the time we got to this outfit, don’t let his somber face sway you away from this tee! I love having waffle henleys around for my boys to wear because they are simple enough to them to layer themselves, but look great alone too! This one is a thicker fabric, perfect for cooler months! It was a little on the smaller side compared to some other shirts, but not small enough that we need to return it.
Someone is all ready to hit the links with daddy! I love that this polo literally looks and feels like a mini version of a mens shirt, shoulder embroidery and all! We need to take a minute to address these jeans! I purchased his first pair several years ago when we were potty training because they looked like normal jeans, but were really easy for him to take off himself during those emergency situations while learning. I’ve continued buying them because they stay on his skinny little waist so well and are comfortable. If you have a kiddo who plays until potty breaks are an emergency or one that complains that jeans are uncomfortable – I cannot recommend these enough!
I was so happy to find this jacket, which feels like a great one to wear from Fall to Spring minus the really bitter cold days of Winter. I love that it’s lightweight and waterproof, making it easy to pack in my bag when out on adventures in case we need it.
One of my favorite brands of the Anniversary Sale is Tucker + Tate! Between their fabrics, prints, pieces and quality I always stock up on this brand! And if it’s a leopard print top, she’s sold! These sneakers were one of her favorites from the sale! They were really comfortable and she didn’t want to take them off!
“The softest top I’ve put on” at least that’s word for word what she told me, and then asked me to order more colors! This is definitely a top pick from the sale, I will suggest ordering darker colors! I noticed this one was a tiny bit sheer but not enough for it to bother me or her, I would not order this one in white though!
Her ideal outfit; dresses, sandals, wedges, and booties with a heel [lol] Having her help pick out her favorites from the sale was so fun and in typical fashion she chose the pretty dresses! This one is so fun and her favorite part, it isn’t tight and very twirly ; )
I love how light this jacket feels, while providing the perfect warmth for Fall activities. These boots, the boy is obsessed with them! He basically hasn’t taken them off since I started letting him wear them. I love that they look dressier, but are waterproof so they’ll stand up to all of the splashing he does, regardless if he’s wearing appropriate shoes for it.
Why does he look like such a little grown up? Probably because this pullover looks like something my husband would wear [proof – the newest addition to hubby’s closet]! Paired with his new favorite boots and these jeans (a great find!), he’s all set for church or any other activity where he needs to look a little more dressy but still comfortable.
ADIDAS Superstar Trefoil Print Track Jacket [Size down if between] // Under Armour Live Performance Graphic Tee [TTS] // Under Armour Storm Water Repellent Mesh Lined Pants [TTS] // Shoes [TTS]
This boy loves to dress one of two ways – super comfortable and sporty, or very formal. [He had to come into the office with me the other day and he put on a tie!]. This perfectly coordinating tee and pants are right up his alley! It certainly helped that the shoes we recently purchased are the exact correct color as well.
He also has been wearing this jacket daily even though it’s waaaaaay too warm out to be layering anything. My only complaint about this jacket is that there don’t seem to be any matching pants, but it goes well with other athletic pants as well as jeans so it will definitely be getting worn over and over… and over.
