Working from home is nothing new for us here at Living in Yellow – we’ve been doing it for quite some time now. Although it sure was nice being able to go on lunch runs to all our favorite restaurants [okay, breakfast too]. If there’s one thing working from home for several years has taught me, it’s that getting dressed in something other than what I slept in makes my day more productive!
Now, I said getting dressed in something other than what I slept in- I didn’t say getting dressed in traditional office wear! There’s definitely a benefit to working from home, in that my pants can have stretchy waist bands [aka leggings and joggers], my tops can be extra flowy, and well, I don’t have to put shoes on if I don’t want to.
Express has been a store I’ve turned to frequently for my traditional office looks, as well as outfits for evenings out, but checking out their WFH options was new territory for me! Turns out, their comfy and cozy options are just as good as everything else, and perfect for this extra time we all are spending at home right now! I put together a few looks that are perfect for getting out of those oversized sweats and into something a bit more put-together [while still comfortable], but I don’t blame you if you still steal your husband’s college tee sometimes. Comfort comes in all shapes and sizes. PS Right now Express has 40% off everything!
Soft Knit Dolman Sleeve Top [TTS, wearing size small in Navy] // Terry Jogger Pant [TTS, wearing size small in Oatmeal] additional joggers // W&P Porter Terrazzo Mug
Change out of your nighttime joggers into your daytime joggers with these joggers [other options here] that are softer. than. butter. Seriously, wow. Give me one in every color. I paired it with this super soft dolman sleeve top and gave it a little tuck. Now just add in some extra-strong coffee and you’re set for the day!
Open Stitch Balloon Sleeve Cardigan [size down, wearing size XS in Heather Gray] similar option here// Slub V-Neck Easy Tank [TTS, wearing size small in White] // Supersoft Ankle Leggings [TTS, wearing size small in Pitch Black]
I’ll be wearing this cozy sweater [similar option here] for Zoom calls now [I mean, it’s technically a cardigan], throwing it on for cool evening boat rides this Summer, and rounding it out with bonfires this Fall. With that kind of versatility, I’m telling myself it’s basically paying for itself 😉
Soft Waffle Knit Ruched Side Tie Tee [TTS, wearing size small in Ivory] //Â High Waisted Mixed Rib Ankle Leggings [TTS, wearing size small in Rose] // W&P Porter Terrazzo Mug
When you want to think Spring but are pretty much staying indoors, these pretty-in-pink leggings and ruched top should do the trick! And might I suggest this this c-u-t-e coffee mug to round things out? It’ll keep your hot drinks hot, and your cold drinks cold, because things taste better when they look cute, right?
Slub Flutter Sleeve T-shirt [TTS, wearing size small in Pitch Black] // High Waisted Zip Pocket Utility Ankle Pant [TTS, wearing size 4 in Thornberry]
For those days where you decide a button and zipper on your pants is best [ya know, to keep your pizza eating in check], this the look for you! Pants in a fun color and some flutter on your sleeves is the perfect combination to bring your day some extra sunshine.
