Valentine’s Date Idea: Local Taco Tour

February 5, 2020

As if we needed another reason to eat tacos. If there’s one way to my heart, it’s through queso and a cold Corona [squeeze of lime, please!] When looking ahead to Valentine’s Day and debating on if we should go to my dearly beloved Chick-fil-A for a fancy night out [they put flowers on the table, serve you at your booth, it’s legit] or switch things up, we landed on switch things up. Insert the idea of a taco tour. It’s exactly as magical as it sounds. You venture around to local taquerias, have a trusty score keeping card with you [don’t worry, we have that printable for you to take along below!] and get to eating and scoring. A win/win for everybody involved.

Shawn and I ventured out to a local taco joint to begin our taco tour the other day [ideally you’d hit up several spots in one day or evening, trying one taco at each taqueria you go to]. It took approximately four seconds to scarf down that goodness. As we ate we had a very serious discussion about the tacos [in our] hand. From rating them to the tortilla [nobody likes a flimsy tortilla] to the meat, salsa flavor and overall adoration, it was a fun way to enjoy our meal together in more ways than one. I may have left with cilantro in my teeth and onion on my breath which may have cut into some after taco fun but you get what you can get and in this case, I got some darn good tacos in my mouth.

If you and your lover are looking for a fun and unique way to celebrate the big day, I highly recommend this taco tour! Make sure to print your free taco score cards here and start mapping your way through which taco spots you want to hit up! download your free printable here!

Raise your beer and give your best cheers, there are tacos to be eaten people…get to work 😉 For more fun ideas on how to keep the spark alive, you may want to check out this post where we reviewed a few different date boxes!

As much as I love shorts season [aka summer] I sometimes despise the actual “denim shorts season” itself. Shorts can be tricky. Sometimes they are too tight, too short, too loose and the list of all of the discomforts of shorts goes on. Today, we’re here to put some of those discomforts to rest and […]

If there’s one trend I’m happily hopping on board with, it’s the white sneaker rage. Maybe they never went out of style, maybe it’s more socially acceptable than ever to wear tennies with every. single. outfit. Either way, I’m here for it.
