What the Team is Loving on Amazon // February Edition

February 6, 2020

By:

Erin Schrader

Swimsuit // Palm Romper // Black Dress // Blue Dress

February is the month of love, but you know what we really love [you know, aside from those wonderful husbands of ours]? Amazon. I think back to a few years ago when I actually went to the store to buy a pen or front porch mat, and now I’m upset when it isn’t at my house in two days. Dramatic? Maybe a little. But this is what Amazon has done to us! What else has it done to us? It’s convinced us to buy all of the random items you see below! This month we’ve included some fashion [anyone vacationing anytime soon?], kitchen items, a weighted blanket [you know you’ve been curious about those!], a home DIY project, and SO so much more! Read on to see what Team LIY is loving this month from Amazon!

Erin’s Swimsuit

Swimsuit [true to size, wearing in small]

If there’s anything more awkward than swimsuit pics, it’s seeing some of the swimsuits you’ve ordered online on your body. Fortunately, this Amazon find [under $33] was a pleasant surprise! I’ve tried a few other Cupshe suits from Amazon and have had 80% good luck. I really loved how this one fit and that the chest region was padded keepin’ the nips at bay 😉 I will absolutely be keeping this one and rockin’ in St Kitts soon! If you need a new suit, you may just want to give this one a try!

Becca’s Towels

Superior Premium Bath Towel Set [White] // Bath Bombs // Similar Comforter

I wasn’t sure what to expect when ordering towels off Amazon, but I decided to give these a try due to the great ratings. I was pleasantly surprised when these arrived on my doorstep! They are super soft and remind me of my Fieldcrest towels from Target which I have always been a huge fan of! These are available in 20 different color choices. Although I can’t speak to whether or not they are long lasting until I have had them longer, my first impressions have been that the quality seems to be great!

Steph’s Cookie Sheets

Circulon Nonstick Cookie Sheets //  Twine Pantry Textured Ceramic Canister [Medium and Large]

Who knew that cookie sheets could make you so happy? I recently ordered these Circulon Nonstick Cookie Sheets  and can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Over the last few months I’ve noticed that everything I was baking on my old cookie sheets was burning on the bottom long before the top was done baking, and E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G was sticking to them like I had glued it down. Not to mention the warping! Enter these pretty little things! In the first week I’ve owned them, they have perfectly baked biscuits, 2 kinds of cookies, fruit pizza and veggie pizza – all without spraying the pans and without any effort to remove my delicious treats at all!

Hannah’s Portable Humidifier

Portable Mini Humidifier

Per the usual, Indiana air is D-R-Y… and my whole body is paying for it! So when I saw this portable cold air humidifier pop up [with over 900 reviews] I had to try it! This one blew me away! It has a night light, a continuous or intermittent spray setting, auto shuts off, travels easily AND the best part.. It’s under $18!! We have been using it and with my son’s dry cough it’s been a lifesaver! The only thing that’s a bummer is that it has to stay plugged in! It comes with a cord you will just need a wall plug in! If you are traveling soon and the air will be dry, I would snag this and take it with you!

Claire’s Tunic

ANRABESS Women’s Waffle Knit Casual Loose Oversized Pullover Sweater Tunic [size down if in between, wearing Medium in Light Green]

The LIY Team recently ventured out into the cold to Old Navy and Target for a little in-store shopping day. This tunic was perfect for running around town– it’s super lightweight & comfortable, plus I got a ton of compliments [a win in my book]! I’m already planning to order more colors [available in TWENTY!!!]. Side Note: this one is a lightweight fabric, more like a tunic and not quite as thick as sweater material. PS. you can check out those Targ finds here + Old Navy finds here!

Cassidy’s Subway Tile

White Peel and Stick Subway Tile

Okay, long story short, I painted my bathroom a color I don’t like but I don’t want to repaint. SO here is what I did to give it a pop without costing too much $$ or too much time! This Peel and Stick Subway Tile is the best kept secret! It is so easy to apply [I am lazy and didn’t even measure, HA!] but it still turned out great [or at least good enough for me!] You can stick this stuff anywhere, bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, showers, ANYWHERE! If you mess up, don’t worry, you can just pull it right off! It comes in six colors so you have a lot of options to choose from!

Lauren’s Tunic

Tunic [TTS, wearing medium in Heather Gray Space Dye]  // Similar Jacket [TTS, wearing medium] // Leggings [TTS, wearing medium] // Boots [TTS]

You could say this tunic fits me a liiiitle differently than the other girls on the team, but it still works! I love when a non-maternity top still works with a bump, and this tunic does just that [at least for the 1st and 2nd trimester]. I’ll be adding this one into frequent rotation this winter!

Erin’s Dress

Dress [true to size, wearing in small in rose red] // Shoes [true to size]

Have I mentioned yet I’ve been in full fledge shopping mode for vacation yet? You could say I’m a little excited for warm weather, tan skin and cocktails in my hand. I always gravitate towards wearing dresses on vacation so when I spotted this one for under $35 I wanted to give it a try! It is fully lined and they say that tiers are about to make a big statement in spring trends so I felt like the sleeves instantly made me feel like I knew what was “in”. Here’s to kidding everybody out there.

Becca’s Sneakers

New Balance Running Shoes [True to Size / Grey]

I am not a super athletic gal, but I am wanting to get a little more active. The only other pair of running shoes I own are orange, and I thought maybe I need a more neutral pair since orange doesn’t exactly go with everything. These little light grey cuties arrived and I love them! They are super lightweight and comfortable due to the memory foam insoles. I will say that while the arch support exists, there is not a ton of it so if you have high arches, you might need to add in a little insert to make them work for you. My favorite feature is that they are super easy to slip on, huge bonus points for this busy mama!

Lauren’s Coffee Canister

Coffee Canister

My husband and I buy our coffee in bulk from Costco [what don’t we buy in bulk from Costco, honestly?]. So rather than keeping a giant bag of coffee on the counter, I’ve recently purchased this air-tight canister to keep my coffee looking cute and tasting fresh! For size reference, this container held one regular size bag of coffee!

Hannah’s Notepad

WTF Am I Doing? Note Pad

I don’t know why I find this note pad so funny, but I do! Maybe because it’s so relatable that it makes me giggle when I feel like I have no idea what is actually going on in my life or the fact that there is so much going on I need to prioritize! Either way this would make a fun little gift for a friend or yourself to get a good little laugh when life seems hectic!

Claire’s Weighted Blanket

Degrees of Comfort Weighted ADULT Throw Blanket – 15 lbs [60”x80”, Ivory]

Chances are, you’ve probably heard about weighted blankets by now. They’ve been becoming more and more popular so I finally decided to take the plunge to see what all the hype was about. My only question: WHY did I wait so long? Besides being super soft & cozy, I immediately noticed a better night’s sleep. The best way I can describe it is a sense of security– it feels like you’re “tucked in” all night, which can be beneficial if you have trouble sleeping or struggle with anxiety. That being said, it’s not for everyone and I do know a few gal-pals who said they ended up feeling slightly claustrophobic. Be sure to purchase the correct weight for your body [I used the chart from this article], this one is 15 pounds and designed for adults who weigh roughly between 100-160lbs.

Lauren’s Air Purifying Bags

Charcoal Air Purifying Bag

I’d heard so much about these miracle charcoal bags that are supposed to clear up odors from gym bags, cars, musty closets, and more! Well, so far, I’d have to agree with the people – these things are great! I put one in a room where we had a scented oil spill on fabric, and noticed less of an odor within a day, and almost no odor within two-three days! Plus, they’re reusable!  To use them again, just set them in the sun and they’re good to go again!

For your Pinning pleasure…
