And just like that it’s 2020: a new year, a new decade and a new chance to wear clothes. I considered making “join a nudist colony” one of my new year goals but then remembered my business would quickly suffer and so would the eyes of those around me [insert new goal of “lose 15 pounds”]. All jokes aside, I am truly very excited about this new fresh start and all of the habits that I’ll develop and keep for two weeks but dang, it’s always a good two weeks. I hope you’re living it up during the first two weeks as well.
While this week’s roundup of outfits may tell a different story, one of my focuses for 2020 is that I want to try a little harder for my daily outfits. I will be the first to admit that I’ve gotten into a skinny jeans and oversized sweater rut [hi winter, kinda your fault] but I want to push myself just a tad out of my comfort zone and maybe instead of skinny jeans I’ll wear a skirt occasionally or swap a sweater for a jacket or heck, actually put on a pair of earrings with an outfit more than 2x a year. Whatever your goals are this year, I hope one of them includes making LIY a regular stop because without you, well I may just join a nudist colony.
Before we get into all of the outfits, let’s get the logistics out of the way to make this process easier on you – for sizing reference, I am 5’4, 125 lbs on a good day, typically a 2 in tops/dresses and 26 in jeans/pants with a preferred inseam of 26-28 inches. Bra size is 30DDD [I get it from my momma]. Hopefully, this helps when determining what size you’d need.
