The 4th of July is hands down, one of my favorite holidays. I don’t know whether it’s the barbecues, the fireworks, the pool days, or just celebrating our freedom! But if you’re anything like me, you tend to make the celebrations last at least a week, incorporating both weekends into the fun! And that means we need outfit options for all those activities!
Macy’s is having a big summer sale just in time for the 4th of July! During Macy’s Summer Sale, you can save 25% off select styles and free shipping at $75 with code STYLE! I’m constantly shopping Macy’s for everything from shoes to clothing to home decor! If you’re still stumped about what to wear [or all of a sudden you have NOTHING in your closet ;)] have no fear, Macy’s is here. That’s who I turned to to put a few outfit ideas together for this year’s 4th of July parties!
Let’s be honest- most of the time, my outfit for this holiday consists of some sort of swimsuit and coverup combination. But when it comes time to change out of the two-piece and into more guest-friendly attire, I’m turning to a dress this year! Or should I say, two dresses!
Red, White & Blue
No matter what, I like to make sure that whatever I’m wearing checks the following boxes: 1] red, white, and blue 2] lightweight enough for the hot days 3] comfortable enough for some corn hole [or bean bag toss, whatever you choose to call it] 4] can easily be paired with a denim jacket for nighttime fireworks 5] room to grow [4th of July food babies are REAL, people]. And these two dresses check all those boxes!
First up is this lace-up, star printed dress! I mean, come on. How much more patriotic could a dress be?! It has a sporty look to it which keeps it a bit casual, but throw on a pair of wedges to instantly elevate the look! Or if your get together is going to have some competitions, toss on some sandals because it has the perfect amount of stretch to it for yard games!
A second outfit option is this CUTE striped dress! Again, this dress screams USA! USA! USA! I love the fit of this dress, and it’d be the perfect style to toss a denim jacket on over when things cool down! Plus, it has magnetic closures, which make getting in and out of it a cinch! I wore it with a pair of wedges, but you could easily do sandals or even Converse for a different look!
What are you planning to wear this 4th of July? Will you be shopping your closet or shopping Macy’s Summer Salet? Either way, get your sparklers ready, because the 4th is right around the corner!

When not in front of her computer screen [with a La Croix or wine in hand] or in front of a mirror taking mirror selfies, you can find Erin spending time on the water, cuddled up with her two pups and husband most likely watching the latest Shark Tank episode, or getting lost in an easy beach read.
