Disclosure: Thank you to Macy’s and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post.
Oh summer, how I love thee. Give me a cold drink with a cute straw, a pool float and nothin’ but sun and I am S-E-T. While we may have a little bit of time before we’re all floating our lives away, things like spring break or spontaneous getaways are on the horizon which means another thing – swimsuits will be in rotation sooner than we may think. While I love summer, I’m not quite sure I’d put the word love in front of swimsuits. Swimwear can be tricky. I’ve reached that point in my life where extra coverage > less coverage. I’m not sure at which age this exactly happened but I’m going to guess it was somewhere around the big 3-0. While I used to be a bikini girl through and through, one pieces have started to make their way into my swim wardrobe and I can’t say I hate it. Regardless of what style you prefer, today’s post will have you covered [or at least, slightly ;)]
All of the swimsuits and coverups I’m bringing you today are from Macy’s. the home of all amazing pieces and sales. I was blown away by their selection of quality swimwear and adorable coverups. Let’s talk through the swimsuits first and then cover things up!
Jessica Simpson Scalloped Edge Texture Halter Bikini Top Women Swimsuit [true to size, purchased in medium] // Jessica Simpson Scalloped Edge Textured Hipster Bikini Bottoms Women Swimsuit [true to size, purchased in small] // I.N.C. Tropical Straw Tote// Steven by Steve Madden Greece Sandals [true to size]
If you are a lover of bikinis, this scalloped cutie is for you. I love and appreciate a bottom that doesn’t expose all of…your bottom. This bikini has the perfect amount of coverage while still allowing you to show off that bod you’re proud of.
I’ve never tried a tankini but after receiving this one, I can see why they are so popular. You still get that two-piece feeling without having to show off your midsection [YAY]! This top is especially flattering thanks to the ruched detail and I love that it is has built in cups to keep your ladies in place and looking good!
Can we talk about just how adorable this ruffled one piece is? I can’t get over the ruffle detail and flattering cut. Five colors available, this swimsuit has nearly perfect reviews [and a lot of them] with a lot of comments about just how comfortable it is while making you look and feel confident in it! A triple win in my book!
So now that we’ve walked through 3 tried and approved suits, let’s get to the coverups. I love a good coverup that can take you from the beach to the bar and if you’re lucky enough, back to the beach. Here are four options that I fell in love with and want to share with you!
First up, my FAVORITE coverup from the group. I tried this on and the rest of the team immediately fell in love as well. The drawstring waistband allows you to make this as fitted or as loose as you want. It has pockets, a great breathable material and dressy enough to feel comfortable in all day long! Highly recommend this baby!
Raviya Crepe Sleeveless Maxi-Dress Cover-Up Women Swimsuit [true to size, wearing in small] // I.N.C. Grosgrain Woven Floppy Hat // I.N.C. Tropical Straw Tote // Steven by Steve Madden Greece Sandals [true to size]
Girl, maxi dresses are my THING. I will never be able to get enough. Whether it’s a fancy dress or a casual coverup, anything in maxi form is for me. If you’re looking for something that covers up more than the average coverup, this one is for you! I love the open back detail and adjustable straps! Super flowy and creates an easy breezy beach look in 3, 2, 1!
Next up, we have this feminine and flirty crochet detail coverup! Again, this has adjustable straps allowing you to have more control over the length and fit and we can’t not talk about the crochet hemline! This adds a pop of pizazz and dresses it up just enough to make you forget you’re wearing a coverup instead of a delicate summer dress.
La Blanca Moment of Zen Printed Jumpsuit Coverup [true to size, wearing in small] // I.N.C. Grosgrain Woven Floppy Hat // Steven by Steve Madden Greece Sandals [true to size]
Last but certainly not least, the jumpsuit of all jumpsuits. As much as I love maxi dresses, I may love jumpsuits more [the debate is still out for which one wins]. This palm print jumpsuit is sure to be the star of the pool as it definitely catches eyes as you walk by. It is open in the leg area which allows that beach breeze to keep you cool while covered!
I told you I found some good ones. Thanks Macy’s for keeping us covered [ish] this spring and summer with these swimwear looks! Be sure to take advantage of the VIP sale and stock up now!
For your Pinning pleasure…
