The Shine Project: Meet Ashley (And Our 2nd Giveaway)

April 5, 2011

Erin Schrader

Have you ever come across somebody that you knew you could be best friends with just by the few small tid bits you knew about them? I recently had this had happen to me.
Meet Ashley, the creator of The Shine Project.
I stumbled across her blog a few weeks ago and was instantly intrigued and captivated by her passion to change the world.
Oh, and she happens to be the cutest thing on the planet.
Every week she challenges her readers with a new way to make a difference in somebody else’s life, how to become a better you, and how to SHINE desperately needed light into this world.
My favorite challenge thus far?
I recently contacted Ashley and asked if she would so kindly introduce herself to my lovely readers.
I know you will love her as much as I do…
I encourage you to visit her blog,
Join the SHINE movement,
Take her up on the weekly challenges..
And get ready to help change the world.
Without further ado, here’s Ashley.

Just so we’re a little more aquainted, my name is Ashley,
and I want to inspire the WORLD.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever had a dream,
and you didn’t reach it.
Don’t be shy, no one can actually see you raising your hand at your computer,
unless your in your work cubicle or something.
Then this might be awkward.
Why do all of us have a goal that has been left unfulfilled?
Why do we sell ourselves short of our potential?
This is why I created The Shine Project.
To give daily motivation,
and weekly challenges,
that push us out of our comfort zone to stop making excuses
Now, think about the last time you went out of your way,
to help someone.
The Shine Project is also a source of motivation to push us to give light to those around us who are in need.
Think of what the world would be like,
if everyone did one thoughtful thing for someone else every day.
I want The Shine Project to change the world.
Come join The Shine Project team.
Motivate yourself, feel good about what you can accomplish,
and lift the burdens of those around you.
I have created SHINE necklaces so we all can have a daily reminder of our purpose.
$1 for each necklace sold goes into The Shine Project Scholarship Fund,
which will be rewarded to an inner city highschool student to help them pay for college.
This week’s Shine Challenge is to clean out your closet and donate the clothes you haven’t worn in awhile to either a charity or an individual in need.
Are you up for it?
I will be revealing a big project I’ve been working on this month,
that will spread The Shine Project to more people.
Come join me at
And go ahead,
let the world see you SHINE.
Don’t you love it?
Here is where the giveaway comes into play.
See those necklaces she mentioned up there?
One of you lucky readers is going to win one.
You’ll look hot-and the proceeds to go a good cause.
What could go wrong?
1. Leave a comment telling me one good thing that happened to you today.
A compliment from a stranger, your car worked, or you simply woke up for the day?
I just want to hear something that made you smile.
