OH HEY THERE, ENTREPRENEUR! LIY is SO excited to announce “Funded By LIY”. A program looking to invest in women owned businesses within our community! This is year number two for the program and we couldn’t be more excited to continue it. Our first year of Funded By LIY was so much fun and we loved learning about you and your business as well as pouring into our 3 amazing winners [meet the 2023 winners here]!

The vision statement of Living In Yellow is, “To be the best resource to women in the most fun way possible.” This community is filled with amazing and unique women with so many talents and we thought there would be no better way to live out our mission statement than to pour into the dreams and visions of those in this beautiful community! Think of “Funded By LIY” as our own little Shark Tank (BIG Shark Tank fans here). Show us who you are, what drives you, tell us all about your business, and how WE can help YOU! So, what are you potentially winning?! Glad you asked…

This initial application will be open through February 5, 2024. After the LIY Team reviews all applicants, we will then narrow it down to our top 20 finalists within 30 days of the application closing. The Funded By LIY committee will reach out to those 20 finalists to send a product/sample to our office. From there, 3 winners will be chosen for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

Does “invest” mean that LIY will take a part of my business?

No! We are simply investing money and time into your business – no part of your business will be taken in any way!

Can my husband, brother, or son apply?

We are currently looking to invest in women owned businesses only!

What if my business hasn’t opened yet?

Feel free to still apply – show us your vision!

How many businesses will win?

20 finalists will be chosen [and reached out to] by the LIY Team within 30 days of the initial application closing. From there, 3 winners will be chosen for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

What types of businesses can apply?

The more the merrier – we are looking for and open to all kinds of kinds! However, we are not accepting applications from direct sales, multilevel marketing businesses, or individual agents (i.e. travel, real estate, etc.) – thank you for your understanding! 

Can a non-profit apply?

Yes!

Do I have to submit a video?

Yes, please! We would love to see your personality SHINE! Any video format is accepted, including those filmed on your phone!
