Let’s talk for a minute about Sorel shoes, shall we? It’s a subject I feel passionate about [other topics that land as high as this one: cheese for breakfast, heated blankets, and Jennifer Lopez’s face, shoot, and body for that matter, just to name a few]. I bought my first pair of Sorel shoes back many winters ago when I spotted the words “waterproof” and knew I needed to put them to the test of Indiana slushy, muddy, winters. It turns out not only did they hold up perfectly well, but they were also some of the [okay, they were THE] most comfortable shoes I had in my closet. Since that first purchase, I’ve proceeded to buy one too many, [but still not enough ;)] pairs of Sorel shoes.
So why am I telling you all of this? Because if you’re like me, you’ve fallen in love with Sorel for winter shoes, but did you know that they are killing the spring shoe game as well?! When I was shopping at Zappos recently [also, hi, pause, we need to talk about this for a second too] I typed in “Sorel” sorted by newest and landed my eyes on so many shoes for spring and summer that I needed to try. Now, back to Zappos quick – if you aren’t shopping there yet, allow me to tell you why you should reconsider. For starters, they carry an insane amount of brands that you already love, I can say that with 100% confidence. From Sorel, to Liverpool, to BB Dakota, to Free People, to fill in the blank with nearly any other brand you love, and they most likely have it. Second, EVERY order offers FREE shipping + a FREE 365-day return policy [even better yet – if you become a free Zappos VIP member you will get free expedited shipping]. Their customer service is top-notch and well, overall, I’m just really impressed.
Now, let’s jump into these spring shoes…
SOREL Cameron Flatform Sandal
Draper James V-Neck Top in Chambray [true to size, wearing in small] // Liverpool Selftie Belted Stovepipe [size down if in between, wearing in 2] // SOREL Cameron Flatform Sandal [true to size]
First up, these flatform sandals are the kind of sandals you could wear all day. I packed these with me for Florida and wore them to dinner both with the outfit you see above and with jeans and a top – both times, I couldn’t get over just how good these were. Added bonus: velcro straps. Take me back to my prime [Elementary] and I’m a happy camper. Long story short, these are a must for a summer sandal that will actually give you the support you want and need!
SOREL Out N About Slip-On Wedge
Madewell Whisper Cotton V-Neck Tee [true to size, wearing in small] // Levi’s(r) Flight Bomber Jacket [true to size, wearing in small] // Liverpool Abby Ankle in Ellsworth [true to size, wearing in 2] // SOREL Out N About Slip-On Wedge [true to size]
Spoiler alert: I think that these are my favorite pair in this blog post. I didn’t know what I was going to think at first, but the minute I put them on wow, I was hooked. They have a built-in wedge that elongates your legs but they are crazy comfortable and cushiony as well. I also love that they are a slip-on [you’ll see a common theme here: no laces, please!] Try them once, and I promise you’ll be trying to wear them every day.
SOREL Kinetic Impact Strap
FP Movement Reveal Sweatshirt [size down one, wearing in XS] // Beyond Yoga Spacedye High Waisted Biker Shorts [true to size, wearing in 4-6] // SOREL Kinetic Impact Strap [true to size]
Last but not least [I’ll be continuing my Sorel addiction for years to come], these kinetic sneakers. I wore these on our travel days to and from Florida, on the treadmill for workouts, and every morning as Shawn and I walked all around town. Needless to say, they will get any active job done and yes, once again, are as comfortable as they look. Just slip on and you’re ready to roll!
