Disclosure: Thank you to Nordstrom and Shopstyle for sponsoring today’s post. All products were selected, worn, and loved by yours truly.
If there’s one thing I would like to thank the past two years for, it’s the swift kick that was given to heels and the quick adaption to sneakers being the new assumed shoe for any and all outfits. I never jumped faster on a trend train than this one right here. You mean to tell me that I don’t have to make my toes go numb and do that awkward flamingo stance to alleviate one foots pain at a time while trying to drum up a conversation with somebody I just met? You know exactly what I’m talking about.
Now that I believe we all never give a second thought to pair sneakers with nearly any outfit [dresses, cropped pants, skinny jeans, skirts, leggings, etc] I’ve been a lot more mindful of adding sneakers into my closet that I know I will get a ton of wear out, will hold up for years, and rank high on the list of comfort. I’m now an investor of sneakers and haven’t regretted these purchases, all of which are from Nordstrom. If you haven’t checked out their sneaker selection, I’d advise you to do so stat. They have all of the best brands, always offer free shipping and returns, and dominate on the customer service front.
Let’s jump feet first into the 3 sneakers worth buying…
Let’s Go Outside Softfade Cotton Graphic Tee • Madewell [size up if in between, wearing in medium for a relaxed fit] // x Living in Yellow Marley Girlfriend Raw Hem Stretch Denim Jeans • Liverpool Los Angeles [size down if in between, wearing in 2] // Cole Haan Grandpro Rally Sneakers [true to size]
Oh Cole Haan, how I love you. I bought my first pair of these Grandpro Rally’s back at the beginning of 2020 and have since bought several more color variations because I love them so much. A few reasons why they are worth the buy: 1) Let’s start with how well they hold up. I have literally worn this style of sneaker hundreds of days over the past few years and they still look nearly brand new. 2) They don’t give your foot that balloon look that some sneakers can give off – they are flattering on the foot and have such a fun visual vibe! 3) Comfort, comfort, comfort! I wear these all day long with zero problems.
Zen Ottoman Full Zip Hoodie • Zella [size up one, wearing in medium] // LIana Restore Performance Tank • Zella [true to size, wearing in small] // High Waist Studio Lite Pocket 7/8 Leggings • Zella [true to size, wearing in small] // ON Cloudflow Running Shoe [true to size]
These sneakers have quickly taken over my entire family’s shoe closet and for good reason. In the words of my dad “they are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn”. I wear these to workout or on days where I may be active [aka, days where I make the drive to Nordstrom to hit the racks all day ;)]. If you are going to Disney or any sightseeing trip anytime soon, I would absolutely pack these to take with you. Your feet will thank you, I promise.
x Living in Yellow Glen Plaid Open Front Blazer • Liverpool Los Angeles [size down if in between, wearing in XS] // V-Neck Cotton & Modal Tank • Liverpool Los Angeles [size down if in between, wearing in XS] // x Living in Yellow Gia Glider Pull-On Crop Skinny Jeans • Liverpool Los Angeles [size down if in between, wearing in 2] // Dolce Vita Studded Sneakers [true to size]
At first I thought I was just getting a pair of sneakers that looked cute, what I didn’t expect is that these would hands down be the most cushioned, comfortable sneakers I’d have in my closet. The first time I put them on, I couldn’t believe what my feet were feeling. Top that piece of news off with the cutest studded detail and we’ve got ourselves a real winner, friends. Do yourself a favor and invest in these, I promise the return on asset is far greater than you’ll get on any stock or bond 😉
What sneakers are you sinking your feet into these days?
