The struggle is real when it comes to finding your favorite white tee. They’re too sheer, they’re too short, they’re too boxy, they’re too tight, the list goes on and on. Such a simple color, but the simplicity of finding the right one does not come easy! Two years ago we went on this mission [if you missed it, see it here!], but because styles change over time, it was time to update our findings!

We wanted to show these shirts on a few different sizes and share several different styles [because we all have our own preferences!], to give you a better representation of how they may look on you! Katy is usually a size XS-small in shirts and will be wearing a standard crewneck style tee. Erin is typically a size small in shirts, size 2/4, and wearing v-neck style tees. Lisa is usually a medium in shirts, size 8/10, and also wearing v-neck styles! Before we get started here’s a fun tip: the more closely your nude bra matches your skin color, the less likely it is to show up!

Drumroll please! The Loft Everyday V-Neck Tee was our favorite overall. It’s super soft and fits true to size. While it does have a slight burnout look, we didn’t find it to be see through [while wearing nude colored bras]. We love the slit detail, love the double stitching, love the seam detail in the back, love the arm cuff detail, and the “V” was a perfect cut. #AddtoCart

Runner Up V-Neck Tee

Old Navy V-Neck T-Shirt [TTS, Lisa wearing size medium, Erin wearing small]

Next up is the Old Navy V-Neck T-Shirt! Several of us actually already own this one [and know we wear it!]. We don’t necessarily fall in love with it every time we wear it, but we wear it. It checked all the boxes: soft, stretchy, and not sheer! The curved hemline is flattering and it fits true to size. We weren’t overwhelmed with adoration it, but overall it’s a pretty great basic tee!

Best Athleisure Style V-Neck Tee

Daily Ritual [TTS, Lisa wearing size medium, Erin wearing small]

Introducing our favorite athleisure style tee, perfect for lounging! Here’s the deal. If I was buying one white tee for my closet, it wouldn’t be this – but I would throw it on with leggings for lounging because it’s super soft! It fits true to size – Lisa in her typical size medium and Erin is wearing a small. It has a really cute back detail which we loved! It does run long, so would work well for taller ladies or with leggings, just might not be the best for everyday outfits.

Crewneck Style: Best Overall

Loft Everyday Crew Neck Tee [TTS, wearing XS]

If you’re more of a crewneck girl, never fear. The Loft Everyday Crew Neck is here! This one is a little bit of looser fit, kind of like a boyfriend tee. If you want it more fitted, size down. But if you’re okay with a looser true tee feel, go with your normal size! It has a little stretch but too stretchy. It is a closer to the $25 price point, so if you prefer to save on your basics, keep scrolling!

Best Budget-Friendly Crewneck Tee

J.Crew Factory Girlfriend Crewneck Tee [TTS, wearing XS]

Meet your new favorite girlfriend! 😉 With a $10 price different, we’re calling this under $15 tee a success! While it has the burnout look, we didn’t feel like it was too sheer at all. On the downside, it’s not overly soft and pretty thin material [you can see the heathering slightly more]. However, the collar is a fun detail and for the price, you can’t beat it! All in all, it’s a great relaxed tee, perfect to throw on to grab a beer and watch the game. For $15, you can’t go wrong!

Best Athleisure Style Crewneck Tee

Loose Vintage Crew-Neck Tee [TTS, wearing XS]

If you’re looking for something for lounging around the house or going for the slouchy look [on purpose!] this one is for you. We found it looked cute tucked for a little extra shape! If you want a slouchy 90s vibe, oversized, this is a good one.
