Fall Cabin Home Tour

October 11, 2021

By:

As much of a summer lover that I am, fall has my whole heart and more [my waistline, my closet, time on the couch, it makes everything in my life expand it seems]. There’s just something about the coziness that fall brings alongside it that makes me crave this season more than any other, it could be the football Saturday and Sunday chip dips, but that’s neither here nor there. I feel like I was made for this season and my house feels similarly.

When we bought the cabin several years ago, I immediately envisioned just how magical fall and winter would be surrounded by the wood walls, cozied up by the fireplace, baking treats in the kitchen and well, I’m happy to report that it is even better than my vision served me back then. I recently made my annual Target trip to find some new fall home decor items [why is Target always my default when it comes to decorating?] along with a pit stop at my sister’s shop, Joyfully Said Signs, and just wrapped up putting the finishing touches around — 300 pumpkins later, the cabin is ready for you to come on in for fall.

Just a note before we jump in – I tried to link everything I could in the little product widgets underneath each room so you can scroll and click away if something caught your attention! If anything is missing, a great place to look is this blog post where I walked through the cabin room by room!

First up, the coziest place of all and the room I spend much of my weekends — the living room. A mix of cozy fabrics and textures, candles scattered everywhere I can find a place for them, and all of the natural light possible pouring in from the giant windows, this room is my happy place.

And now moving to my second favorite room of the house – the kitchen and dining room. I love that this is the gathering space when we host our friends and family around the table. For this year’s tablescape, I lined it with pumpkins upon pumpkins and some faux plants. I love the mixture of textures and colors on the table!

Moving upstairs, I couldn’t forget about adding a few fall touches up there. While we don’t spend too much time in the loft, I still wanted the cozy vibes of fall to radiate in the space, so I found a few new blankets and pillows to throw on the couch in hopes someday I’ll be cuddled up there with a book [and glass of mulled wine] in hand..

Last but not least, you can’t forget about the outside. I added this gold wreath and fun pumpkin doormat to welcome our guests this season.

And that my friends, concludes this year’s cabin fall home tour. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a cup of something warm to go snuggle up with as hibernation season begins…see you in the spring 😉
