With every new season, comes new trends in the Fashion world. While we’re all about getting on board with most of them, [I’ll try just about anything once!] we understand that they’re just that… trends! So instead of spending your entire shopping budget on the items that’ll only be around for a season, we’re here to encourage you to invest in the pieces that’ll stick around for years to come. You know, the classic wardrobe staples! Today we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite fall trends and are sharing which ones are worth spending your hard-earned dollars on, and which ones we’re buying on a budget!
The Satin Slip Dress: Save
Slip Dress [size up if in between]
She’s classy, a little bit sassy, and we LOVE her! But we don’t think the slip dress trend is going to be around forever. This is a piece that most likely won’t live in your closet for years to come [and if it does, it’ll probably be collecting dust]. If you’re shopping for an upcoming event, we linked a few great budget-friendly options below!
Tailored Work Wear: Spend
Blazer [true to size] // Dress Pants [true to size]
Good news for my boss babes! Work wear is in this season and it’s not going away anytime soon. When it comes to office friendly looks, we suggest investing in comfortable, quality pieces that’ll last. A few 9 to 5 favorites are linked below!
Textured Bags: Save
I’ll be honest, I’m a little hesitant of the textured bag trend in the first place. While they’re ahh-dorable, they’re really not all that functional. It seems like the smaller the better when it comes to this trend, so if you’re hopping on board with this one, plan to only pack the essentials. If my bag is going to be this small, I’d prefer to opt for a hands-free crossbody! However, this little number is perfect for date night or GNO, so we linked a couple cuties below!
Midi Skirts & Dresses: Spend
Midi Skirt [True to size]
It’s no secret I’m a big fan of midi dresses and skirts. I love the longer length for this time of year and BONUS: less leg shaving required. I can’t stop, won’t stop wearing them anytime soon!
The Sweater Vest: Save
Sweater Vest [TTS, wearing in Taupe] // White Button Up [size down one]
Believe it or not, the sweater vest is back baby! I’m still undecided exactly where I stand with this trend, but I think it’s so much fun. If you’re here for it [or if you still own one from the 90’s], you’re in luck – I’ve been seeing them pop up EVERYWHERE right now! Get sweater weather ready below!
Cut Out Styles: Save
Cut Out Top [True to size]
While this trend is a lot of fun and has endless variations, I’m not sure it’s something we’re going to see around for more than a season or two. If you’re loving the fun cut-out details, we linked several finds that won’t break the bank below!
The Teddy Coat: Spend
Teddy Coat [size down if in between]
Snuggle up, buttercup! Teddy coats have made their appearance year after year and I’m not mad about it. They’re soft, snuggly, and not going anywhere anytime soon. We recommend investing in a piece like this for the sake of comfort and longer-lasting quality!
Sweater Sets: Spend
Sweater Dress [TTS, size up if in between]
Last, but certainly not least, is the sweater sets! Chances are, you’ve seen these cute little numbers popping up everywhere lately – and for good reason. They’re just the right amount of comfort and class – it’s all about balance, am I right? You can also style each pieces separately to create 3+ looks. As a general rule of thumb – when it comes to form-fitting pieces, I typically invest in higher price point items. Take my word for it, a good quality fabric goes a longgg way, friends!
