You know those days when you walk into Target for deodorant and leave with a cart full of things you didn’t know you needed [oops 😉 ]? It happens to us here at LIY pretty frequently. We like to let Targ tell us what we need – if you know, you know. Anyway, today we’re sharing a few… errr, 30+ of those items we didn’t know we needed with Y-O-U. Ya know, just in case you “need” them too! Without further ado, here are 30+ Items from Target that are too Good Not to Add to Cart.
ps. You can check out all Team LIY Round Ups here!
The $15 dress that I’m convinced we all need in our closet – think your favorite comfy t-shirt meets a feminine cute little dress. It’s a great length for my 5’4 height, not sheer and pairs perfectly with a denim jacket for cooler mornings or evenings. Getting dressed just got a heck of a lot easier!
Speaking of dresses that everybody needs, this midi is no exception. When I first posted about it on our Facebook page, hundreds of you raved about it as well! Available in several colors, it’s the same great material as the tank dress above but in a little longer format!
Shorts shopping can be hard. I was pleasantly surprised when I slipped these on and fell in love immediately. They are so stretchy, have the perfect amount of distressing and a comfortable 4-inch inseam! Worth trying for a low price of $15!
Speaking of shopping that can be hard, swimsuits ranks at the highest spot on that list. I was so excited when I discovered the Shade & Shore brand at Target which is bra-sized swimwear with supportive cups and styles for chests of all sizes! This fun yellow striped number caught my eye [hi, I love yellow] and it makes me happy every time I put it on. Now all I need is a Pina Colada…
Of course when you buy a new swimsuit, you’ll need a new coverup to throw on over it [or at least that’s my logic ;)] I love the Kona Sol brand for cute affordable cover ups that will last for a few seasons! I liked this one so much, I had to buy it twice! It’s a lightweight fabric that is cool and breezy for hot summer days and has a sweet little ruffle at the neck! Highly recommend it!
What my Summer outfits look like 90% of the time! We are a BUSY family in the Summer spending a lot of time outside, playing games/sports or running kids to practices, so a comfortable outfit is key! This tank and short set is so comfortable, breathable and I like that I can throw it on and go or workout in it!
Casual Sneakers [Size down .5]
If you’re looking for a comfy pair of everyday sneakers, these are it friends! The moment I slipped them on, I didn’t want to take them off and I love that they go with just about everything! Bonus, they look like a really expensive pair I’ve had my eye on but under $30!
My 3 year old thinks picnics are the coolest thing ever [especially when popsicles are involved], so you better believe we’re having lots of picnics [and popsicles]. I love having outdoor blankets on hand because they keep any ground wetness at bay while providing a soft, non-grass place to sit! Plus you can just throw them in the wash if they get dirty, and you’re not mixing your couch blankets with the great outdoors! [additional options linked above!]
Red Eyelet Top [true to size, wearing medium] // White Jeans [true to size] // Wedges [true to size]
Bring on the 4th of July, because I’ve got my red and white [just need some blue!]. I absolutely love this eyelet tank top from Target. From the ruffle sleeves to the eyelet detail, I knew it had to be mine as soon as I saw it! I also love that it can be a three season top, by throwing on a jacket over it in Spring or Fall!
Whether I’m actually doing a workout or it’s just 90 degrees out and I’m trying to stay cool, I’ve been loving Target’s activewear this year! I have these shorts in another color and had to go back for a second pair because I wear them ALL the time! Pockets, lined, the best light material – you seriously can’t go wrong with these! Plus I’m digging the dip-dyed look of so many shirts this year, so adding on this lightweight tank was a no-brainer [especially for the price!].
Minnetonka Slipper [size up if in between]
These slippers are perfection! I love the fact that you can lounge in them or take the trash out. They have a sturdy sole, so you don’t feel like you’re messing up your house shoes if you have to wear them outside! If you have Plantar fasciitis these would be ideal for wearing around the house. They are slightly snug so I would go up if you’re in between!
I’m smiling here because…”choose happy” 😂 but this tank is going back. It showed my regular bra a bit on the sides and was pretty sheer. It’s so cute so I was hoping it would work, but for the under $10 price tag it may be worth having around for working out or over a swimsuit!
I tried some other short overalls from Old Navy that I didn’t love, but that didn’t stop me from keeping my eyes peeled for the next pair to try! I like the fit/feel of these better and love the distressed/ripped detail! They are comfy and easy to throw on on a hot day.
I was thinking the same thing you probably are about this swimsuit…that seems way too small, but once I tried it on I was pleasantly surprised by the fit!! The bottoms are slightly cheeky, but nothing crazy. I normally size up at least one in bikini bottoms, so that may have helped as well. If you are larger chested I would size up at least one in the top! Now, all I need is to lay by the pool with a drink in it!
As seen in our Spring Home Decor blog post 🌼 I wanted to brighten up our guest room with a few simple changes! Basically anything McGee and Co makes is going to catch my eye, but this pillow really ties the whole bedding look together in my opinion. When I first thought of mixing white, cream, and beige it seemed strange, but a few pinterest inspos later and I was ready to commit. This throw blanket was just the weight and color I was looking for. It’s not going to keep you warm in super cold weather but I love it as an accent on the bed! I got this comforter in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so I just popped that baby in this room instead! I’ve had these cream pillow covers for almost 4 years now and have used them in our room, couches, and now the guest room. Two pack for under $14? Yes please!
I’m all about pull-on shorts for summer! They’re lightweight and oh-so comfortable for warmer days. This pair is available in several different colors and can be easily dressed up or down!
Lightweight Hooded Sweater [TTS, size down if in between, wearing M]
My favorite find from my Target run! I found this sweater stashed in a random spot of the store, but instantly fell in love. It’s lightweight enough for summer and slightly cropped- perfect for a little front tuck. Their website doesn’t do this one justice. It is slightly oversized and I prefer that look, but if you prefer a bit more of a fitted look, I would suggest sizing down. LOVE!
Gold Jewelry is my jam and Target is my go-to for stocking up on trendier seasonal pieces. If you’re a fan of BaubleBar, you’ll love their Sugarfix line at Target. I will say if you prefer to shop small and support women owned businesses, be sure to check out Hey June for many high-quality similar styles and use code LIY15 for 15% off!
Nevermind the fact that I’m missing candles at the moment [these coming soon!], I found these wood and metal candle holders – available in 3 sizes – that made the perfect additional to a console table I’m in the process of decorating!
I fell in love with these two tops in-store, but unfortunately they didn’t make it home with me on this trip! I LOVE lightweight sweaters for cooler summer evenings, but this one was just a little too heavy. I think it’ll be PERFECT for fall, so I’m hoping to come back for it later this season! The hoodie on the right was a perfect lightweight material, but I told myself I could only go home with one sweatshirt and this one didn’t make the cut. Talk about self control, friends. 😉
I recently “flipped” this entryway table by painting it black and adding some gold details so I knew I had to add some jazz to the decor! I ordered this faux plant and love the way it looks plus I know it won’t die [LOL]! This area doesn’t get much sunlight unless the door is open so I didn’t want to risk killing a real plant! Love the way it brought this little space together!
Say hello to my front door! I have been wanting to add a little layering to my outdoor rug and love the way it looks! I don’t have a ton of space around my front door but I wanted to warm it up a bit! It does look a little more “off white” in person! PS. if you look closely you will see my pup Banjo!
Okay, not going to lie but I originally thought that this tablecloth was in fact an outdoor tablecloth….. Buuuuuut I think I was wrong! Either way, I am using it outdoors on my patio [making sure to bring it in when we are not using it though!] I also folded in half to fit my table, but I plan to use it indoors on my dining table as well! Love the classic stripes and the warmth it brings to our metal table!
LIY Ambassadors Finds
Loving this Target tank and because of the price; I will be getting all the colors available!
Target does it again! Hi LIY – it’s Lisa! 💛 This dress will quickly become your summer staple. The bottom hem gives it just enough fun detail while being incredibly soft and comfortable. While I am wearing a Medium, I could have gone up a size to have a little more oversized look without looking too baggy.
Chiiiilllleee, Target NEVER fails me! This short and sassy denim skirt caught my eye, and I just could not pass it up! Ladies, it isn’t just for us curvy girls! This skirt comes in sizes xs-3x and a few different colors too! This denim skirt is great for all our outdoor summer adventures. A cookout, sporting event, festival, you name it! Paired this skirt with a simple tank, some cute high top converse sneakers, and your favorite cardigan… Fabulous WE will be!!
This outfit is so casual and comfy. Great for chasing my 2 littles around! The top is very soft, great price and has a more boxy fit so I sized up to front tuck it.
I love Spring and warmer temps for many reasons and casual + comfy dresses are high on that list! I had this $20 Target dress last year and grabbed this one as soon as I saw it (next up, that yellow tie dye!) I love midi dresses because I don’t have to worry about them being too short on me (6ft for reference) Also, it’s easy to swap my sandals out for white sneakers while playing outside with the kiddos!
I get so much use out of this Target tank and have it in multiple colors! It’s great to wear tucked in with jeans, joggers, shorts, and skirts this spring and summer! It’s a snug fit so I recommend sizing up one which has worked great for me! These shorts are high rise which I love and just the right length. Tip for you – I found that if I tie a knot before tying the bow it lays much better. Clearly I could still use some practice though!
Calling all women with a LONG TORSO! This cute black one piece from Target is the perfect length for my 6 foot frame, and the mesh cut outs give it a little more of an edgy look. I used body tape to help with extra support for the “girls”. I swam in the ocean and the pool, and the suit held up well, and the body tape stayed put!
Sandals [true to size]
One word that comes to mind for these sandals I scored at Target: OBSESSED! I love them. I’ve been buying tons of yellow lately (thanks, Erin! 😂) and these are just too cute. They also come in a couple fun neutrals. Aaaaand they’re super comfy!
