How to Create a Pasta Board

November 17, 2020

Recently we celebrated the life of one of our very favorite gals, Lauren! She loves all things Italian food, so we wanted to make her pasta dreams come true with this food board! To be completely honest, this is one of the simplest boards we have ever created, and maybe the most delicious! Keep on reading to hear how we composed this board full of carbs. Hopefully it will inspire you to create one of your own!
The foundation of any good pasta board? The noodles! We picked 4 different pastas that had different shapes and sizes and textures to give a little variety. Cook according to package directions, and place them directly on the board with a twist of the wrist for the perfect pile of pasta!
Next, comes the sauce! You can get as fancy as you want, but let’s be real our busy schedules only allowed for picking up 4 delicious jars at the store. We went with pesto, marinara, alfredo and butternut squash. We heated the sauces and placed them in bowls next to the board because even this huge board could not hold all the goodies we wanted to include!
Lastly, comes the accoutrements. From meats to sautéed veggies, toasted pine nuts and cheese, we really went big on the toppings! This is what brings the pasta board to come to life and allows your family or guests to get really inventive with their pasta creations! Choose toppings that you love, and keep flavor combinations in mind as you decide what to throw on your board.
And that’s a wrap! It’s super simple, yet super delicious! Buon Appetito!
