These days, I’m doing a whole lot fewer fancy date nights and weekend getaways, and a whole lot more curbside pickup, groceries to go, and fresh-air activities! With this change in activity, brings a change in wardrobe. Out go the heels, and in come the tennis shoes [don’t worry – the faux leather leggings aren’t going anywhere ;)]. It’s all about comfort, nowadays.
Even if I’m not planning to get out the car [looking at you mamas in the school drop-off line], I still want to look halfway put together JUST in case someone sees what I’m wearing. What if my car breaks down? What if I get pulled over for driving a *bit* too fast? I mean, could you imagine if there were unexpected Girl Scout cookies for sale? A girl can’t simply keep driving past and not stop for Thin Mints, can she?! I think not. Basically, I want to get out of my jammies, and into something just as comfortable with minimal effort. We’re making curbside chic a thing for 2020, friends!
It’s no surprise that Nordstrom had endless options that are equal parts comfort and cute – my two requirements! From statement sneakers to my go-to “fancy” leggings to to a hat top it off [ya know, to cover my three days of unwashed hair], Nordstrom has it all. And if you’re lucky enough to live close to a Nordstrom store, you can take advantage of their buy online pickup in store or curbside pickup features ! Truly, getting out of your car is overrated 😉 Add in the free shipping and returns, and shopping at Nordstrom has never been more convenient!
The North Face Campshire 2.0 Vest [true to size, wearing in small] // BP. Plaid Button-Up Shirt [true to size, wearing in small] // Kut From the Kloth Donna High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans [true to size] // Brixton ‘Wesley’ Wool Fedora // Born Alize Double Zip Boot [true to size] // Street Level Reversible Faux Leather Tote & Wristlet
Pumpkin patches, apple orchards, pizza on the patio – this outfit says yes, yes, and yes to all of the above! If you’re feeling adventurous and leaving the house to run errands or check items off your Fall bucket list, this look has you covered. I’ve sworn by these boots for a few years and love both the comfort and style. Layer the top with a warm vest, which will keep you comfortable from morning chill to mid-day sun!
Sanctuary Waffle Tunic [true to size, wearing in small] // Spanx Faux Leather Leggings [size up one!] // Adidas Stan Smith Sneaker [ ] // Quay High Key 62mm Oversize Aviator Sunglasses // Street Level Reversible Faux Leather Tote & Wristlet
The fact that fancy leggings exist make 2020 much more enjoyable. I’ve loved my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings for several years, for good reason! They suck you in, don’t show any rumps or bumps, have just the tiniest bit of shine, and work both dressed up for date night Friday and dressed down with a sweatshirt on Saturday!
Levi’s Fleece Hood Faux Leather Moto Jacket [true to size, wearing in small] // Treasure & Bond Collegiate Cotton Graphic Tee [true to size, wearing in small] // Zella Live In Joggers [true to size, wearing in small] // Cole Haan GrandPro Tennis Shoe [ ]
Last but not least, the unofficial pant of 2020 – the jogger. There’s never been a year where I’ve left the house in joggers more than this year. And I’m okay with that! Add in the sneaker brand that I’ve fallen in love with this year, a hooded moto jacket, and simple graphic tee, and you’re ready to get the kiddos from school or pickup your curbside order from Nordstrom!
