3 Ways to Wear Eyelet This Spring

March 19, 2020

No matter what’s going on in the world today, one thing is for sure: Spring is just around the corner! That in itself can give us some positivity and something to look forward to! And if there’s anything we could use in our lives right now, it’s a little bit of sunshine and a lot a bit of happiness.

If there’s one clothing detail that makes me think of Spring, it’s eyelet! It’s like floral print without actually having a single flower on you. It’s magic. Also magic? That somehow cutting some extra holes and adding extra threading to a piece of clothing gives it a pretty and feminine look! However eyelet is working its tricks, I’m on board with the feminine look that it adds, and glad it’s here to stay! Let’s just say, eye love eyelet 😉

Thankfully eyelet isn’t limited to just one type of clothing, it’s available on shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, and I’ve even seen shoes! So today I’m going to show you three eyelet options I’m loving as we [hopefully] turn the page from Winter to Spring.

What’s another bonus of turning the page from Winter to Spring? Gap’s Friends & Family Sale Is here! You can save 40% with Gap’s Friends & Family Event starting on 3/19 (with added incentives for even greater savings), making your spring season shopping that much sweeter! Use code GAPFRIEND for 40% off, and code ALLYOU for an extra 10% off! If you’re a cardholder, use code PLUS20 for an extra 20% off! I don’t know how to code, but I know I like those Gap codes! Now, I don’t want to keep you from the savings, so let’s talk about what I found!

The Extra-Feminine Dress

Gap Eyelet Tie-Belt Dress [TTS, wearing size small]

Baby showers, bridal showers, Easter, Mothers Day…. There are so many opportunities to wear this eyelet dress! It is covered 100% in eyelet, and has a tie-waist to give it some definition! Plus, it’d look cute with heels, sandals, or even white tennis shoes! And if you like to keep your white clothes between Memorial Day and Labor Day, don’t worry, this one comes in other colors!

Pretty in Purple

Gap Eyelet Wrap Midi Skirt [TTS, wearing in small]// Gap Modern Squareneck T-Shirt [size up, wearing in medium]

If a skirt is more your style, you’re in luck, because eyelet doesn’t have anything against skirts! I’m LOVING this eyelet skirt that would be perfect for the office [it’d be so cute with wedges!], winery dates, or church on Sundays! I paired it with the prettiest purple square neck top, but you could also do a tank, lightweight sweater, or even layer it with a denim jacket!

The Go-To

Gap High Rise True Skinny Ankle Jeans [TTS, wearing size 27 Regular]// Gap Eyelet Ruffle Sleeve Top [TTS, wearing in small] // Faux Leather Flip Flops // Jute Tote Bag

And last, but most definitely not least, the combo you’ll find me in most spring days, the jeans and top combo! Just because you’re wearing jeans doesn’t mean your look can’t be feminine! Top it off with this ruffle sleeve t-shirt that’s covered in what else, eyelet, and you’re ready for a casual Friday at the office or brunch with the girls!

Are you loving eyelet as much as I am? Don’t forget to use codes GAPFRIEND, ALLYOU and PLUS20 to get these items on sale right now during the Gap Friends & Family Event!
