Hannah has been raving about this mascara for weeks so I was excited to finally try it out. It comes with a bendable wand that can be used two ways. To get the full effect, I used it bent and was pleasantly surprised at how well I was able to coat those hard-to-reach lashes. Don’t worry, if you’re not feeling like a full blown makeup artist, you can keep the wand straight like your normal mascara. BONUS: this is VERY similar [but a much more affordable alternative] to my favorite Benefit Badgal BANG! mascara.
The next product I tried was the Olay Hydrating Mist. I’m always skeptical of these mists because, really, what do they even do? This little bottle promises hydration and revitalization, so naturally I doused my face in it. The Good News: You can use this spray pretty much any time- before you moisturize, after makeup application, and anytime throughout the day for a refresh. Cool right? I used it directly after applying my makeup and instantly noticed a fresh, dewy glow. [ps. it smells good and it’s free of oils, parabens & artificial colors or dyes.] That’s a win in my book.
This was my first time trying out a face mask in stick form! LOVED IT. All the benefits of a face mask without the mess. The stick went on smooth, creamy, and a lot thicker than expected- in the best way possible. I used the Black Charcoal Detox, but they also offer White Charcoal Glow Boost and Fresh Reset Pink Mineral options that I want to get my hands on next!
If you have sensitive skin, this is the perfect hydrating day cream, friends! A little goes a long way, but it keeps my skin hydrated without causing breakouts + it’s non-greasy. I mixed it with the foundation drops to create a perfect mix for my skin tone without the feeling of too much makeup!
No7 Match Made Foundation Drops [wearing in Cool Vanilla]
A little goes a LONG way with these drops! I love that this foundation is designed for your own specific skin tone and blends for the most natural and even tone. This foundation is buildable, so your coverage preference will determine how many drops to use. I’ve been using a single drop mixed with this day cream and it’s the perfect sheer coverage. If you prefer fuller coverage, I would recommend using up to 3 drops depending on your skin tone. Start with one for a good base and continue building until you find what’s best for you! This foundation is lightweight, doesn’t feel cakey, blended well and evened my natural skin tone + lasted ALL day! Mix this with your favorite day cream, primer, balm or any other base you prefer before applying the rest of your makeup.
I was a little skeptical of this concealer at first. A hydrating concealer that doesn’t get cakey or feel heavy seemed impossible, but this stuff is GOOD! Not only does this keep my under eye hydrated and smooth but it also does a great job of covering my dark circles after long nights up with my kiddos! Highly recommend.
Lipstick Queen Results
I think we both agreed these lipsticks were our FAVORITE products to try out! They are SO fun. They might look intimidating at first [green and yellow lipstick?!] but never fear. The lip color goes on clear at first, then reacts to the warmth of your lips and adjusts to your PH levels for your own unique shade of pink or coral. Not only does this give you the perfect shade, but it also hydrates your lips and doesn’t feel sticky. Tip: the color did wear throughout the day into a glossy tint or stain, so reapply if you prefer a more vibrant lip!
And that’s a wrap, folks! Shop all the products + a few fun extras below. Thanks for stopping by! xoxo
