We’ll start in the living room which is the source of most of the fall decor goodness. I’m a sucker for swapping out pillows and throws on the couches which Shawn will forever hate me for. Naturally I snagged new ones at Target [their pillow aisle gets me every time] that had a fall vibe to them. I wanted pillows that paired well with the brown leather couches and screamed fall and here’s what I landed on!
On the coffee table, I had no clue what I wanted to do so when I saw this giant wood tray I knew it was speaking to me. Giant wood always speaks to me. You’re welcome mom for that reference 😉
This is our first time having a massive mantel to decorate and unfortunately, my husband decided that a TV needed to take up 99.9% of the space so I’ve been left with the corners [it’s payback for the pillows]. I had picked up the candles and lantern cylinders at a local store a few months ago so to complete the mantle I simply threw up a couple of pumpkins and called it a day. Here’s to hoping that Christmas things get a little more adventurous around here.
I’ve been a sucker for these Magnolia Hearth & Hand house lanterns since the day they were released [you may remember the galvanized metal ones at our home in our Christmas home tour last year] so I had to have them on the fireplace here. It is my favorite to have the candles lit once it gets dark outside with the fire going – talk about all of the cozy vibes.
Now as we venture off into the kitchen and dining room, you’ll be shocked to see….MORE PUMPKINS. It’s literally the only thing I can think of to decorate with for fall [Pinterest, I should probably frequent you more often]. Thanks Target Dollar Spot for these cushy little pumpkins of cuteness.
On the center kitchen island you can find this beautiful fall explosion that I had absolutely nothing to do with other than paying for. Crafts and I don’t get along very well. Regardless, it’s pretty and it makes me want to drink more of that spiked apple cider I spoke of earlier so it’s here to stay for years to come.
And there we have it. The bad [okay actually amazing] news? It’s time to take it all down and start in on Christmas decor right about now. Stay tuned for our Christmas home tour happening in the next several weeks. I’ll have the hot chocolate ready!
