I know, I know. It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, however, if there is ever a time for a house to shine, it’s once Christmas explodes all over it. I decided to decorate a wee bit earlier than normal this year and I gotta say, I am not one bit upset about it. This year I found my way into the aisles of Target on several occasions [all Chip and Joanna Gaines fault] which inspired me to add a few new pieces to our Christmas decor mix. On a whim, I also decided after ten years of having the same ornaments on our tree that I was sick of them and it was time to revamp our look. Our home took on more of a traditional Christmas vibe this year with all things red, gold and a few earthy colors and it has to be the best I’ve ever felt about it. Today, I thought it would be fun to invite you all on a little Christmas home tour of sorts. Come on in, make yourself comfortable and stay until the very end because I promise, it will be worth your wait 😉
We’ll start in the most logical place to start…the entry, let’s get this tour started!
Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Artificial Lamb Ear and White Berry Wreath (24″) // Threshold Red Medallion Kitchen Rug // Hunter boots
Merry + Bright Sign
May Our Walls Know Joy Sign
First official stop, the main living room, also known as my favorite room in the winter. It’s in here that you will find our main tree, fireplace and our main seating area. Last year we bought this flocked pre-lit tree, which I still can’t figure out if I think it looks like hairy fingers or is actually pretty. We’ll go with pretty for the purposes of today’s tour. I kinda love the addition of red and gold ornaments with little touches of natural elements in all things elks and reindeer.Flocked Pre-lit Tree // Similar Faux Fur Tree Skirt
All ornaments from Hobby Lobby
As always, I found myself buying all of the new pillows out this year [what is it with women and pillows?!] which makes our couch equally inviting and equally annoying to actually sit down on. It’s a big tease really.
Stay Awhile Sign // Faux Fur Throw // Red Plaid Oversized Pillows // Threshold Deer in Chair Throw Pillow // Threshold Winter Village Oversize Lumbar Pillow // Threshold Doe Throw Pillow
wood tray // faux plants from IKEA // ornaments from Hobby Lobby
Lamp from IKEA // Threshold Red Snowflake Pillow // Threshold Tis The Season Throw Pillow // Threshold Wood Deer Figure
Threshold Wood Deer Figure // Threshold Advent Calendar
I was probably MOST excited this year about the addition of the light up stocking holders [linked below] that are all sorts of crazy adorable as I am a big believer that if you put a light on anything it’s instantly awesome.

believe wood cutout // Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Galvanized House Lantern Medium // Hearth & Hand Sugared Birch Pillar Candles // Threshold Chunky Chenille Throw Blanket
We should probably cuddle sign // Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Galvanized House Lantern Medium // Hearth & Hand Sugared Birch Pillar Candles // Threshold Chunky Chenille Throw Blanket
Now that we’ve made our way through the main living room, we’ll wander over to the “outdoor room” as I call it [aka second smaller living room] for a few small touches of Christmas decor!
BAR lightup sign // Threshold Snowman Pillow
Wondershop 9” Large Metal Decorative Camper // Enamel Mug Candle – Fireside Golden Gingersnap
Tinsel Trees
Off to the land of where allllllll of the goodness goes down, the kitchen and dining room of course. I love that we have a spot in our dining area to house another smaller tree. It is on this tree that we put all of the Old World Ornaments that we have been given over the years [perks of having an aunt who owns an ornament shop!] It is always my favorite putting the ornaments on this tree remembering why we got each ornament for each year as they are always themed to that year’s events. I am dying to get my hands on this one asap. I also especially love this space because when standing in the kitchen you have a view of both trees and it is the most little glorious sight to my eyes.
Merry Christmas Wood Sign
Glass & Metal Candle Holder // Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Unscented Taper Candle (2pk)
Threshold Stoneware Tis The Season To Sparkle Mug // Glass & Metal Candle Holder // Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Unscented Taper Candle (2pk)
Let it snow mug
Now that we’ve checked out the dining room portion of the kitchen, let’s draw our attention towards the very important bar cart and my favorite area – the place where all of the cooking, dancing and eating really takes place – the heart of the kitchen!
Let’s Stay In Sign // Bar Cart // Moscow Mule Mug
found in dollar spot – Target
Oh what fun rug // ugg slippers
Probably my favorite find from the Hearth & Hand line at Target has to be these galvanized house candle holders [linked below!] that we have both in our living room and on our kitchen center island as well. The LIY girls assembled this little centerpiece and I couldn’t love it more. These sugared birch candles are all sorts of winter perfection.
Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Galvanized House Lantern Medium // Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Galvanized House Lantern Small // Hearth & Hand Sugared Birch Pillar Candles // Holly Garland // Runner from dollar spot – Target
And that completes our 2017 Christmas home tour! I hope you enjoyed your visit but before you go, I have a little gift for my guests 😉 To celebrate the kickoff of Christmas decor season, we thought it would be fun to give away a little cozy comfort package for your home this winter! You have beautiful taste and a beautiful home. Thanks for sharing
Super cute! I wish a I could put my Christmas decor up but my daughter’s birthday is November 25th and I make it a point to wait until after her birthday to put it up. I don’t want Christmas decorations in her birthday photos, I know that is my little bit of OCD but it is what it is. November 26th will be the day though!
I love that your front door ‘inside’ is painted, how clever! Can you come to Chicago and decorate my house:) Also, LOVE the sweater and your earrings…. My hair stylist told me about you and I immediately started following, love your style and your house is so adorable, I try to have nice things but my two hellions (my boys) destroy it all!
Love your style! Full of color, festivity and function!!
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Do you remember where you purchased the candle holders next to the cute wooden dear? So cute!!!
Target 🙂
Ummmm….. I’m going to show this to my hauband so he knows it is officially okay to have more than one tree up!! Hahahahaa… Looks so cozy and warm in there! Good job! 😍🌲❤️
Thank you for the tour of your beautiful home! This might be a silly question, but what do you use to hang up the decor on your walls? The “believe” sign for example. Thanks again and happy Thanksgiving!
Two small nail holes are holding that up 🙂
So pretty! Inspired for decorating with some new things this year…where did you get that really tall white vase that is on the floor next to your fireplace? It is amazing!!
Please come decorate our home 🙂 lol
Your home is beautiful! Have an amazing holiday season watching the Hallmark Channel, drinking coffee, and snuggled around your Christmas-loving home 🙂
I love this! It’s inspired me to get some new decorations. So excited! Wondering, though, where that tall white vase is from? It’s on the floor by your fireplace, next to the cuddle sign and chunky throw? I have been looking for one that size. It’s perfect!
I got that several years ago at Target I think!!
You have a gorgeous home. LOVE your gallery wall! And I think I need one of your sister’s signs☺
Your house is so beautiful and cozy. Do you remember where the metal JOY sign is from?
Thank you

Ha, I don’t mind at all! I got those from Target years ago!
