It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and along with that comes the most wonderful SALE of the year! You know exactly what sale I’m talking about- Black Friday! These days, I rarely leave the house on Black Friday. Something about parking a mile away to wait in the checkout line for an hour for a beanie just doesn’t get me going anymore. But what really gets my motor runnin’ [I sound like such a dude] is online shopping on Black Friday. Shop from the comfort of my couch, in my pajamas, with no makeup on, and STILL get the amazing deals? Yep, sign me up.
When I shop Black Friday, I try to stay focused on big ticket items at incredible prices. Items that I might not buy for myself at full price, but when the deals are this big, I feel like it would be a disgrace to my closet if I DIDN’T buy them! You may find me buying a few smaller add-on items, but I’m primarily here for the big dogs [no seriously, am I turning into a dude? Motor runnin’… the big dogs…? Going to get a facial, manicure and drink a girly martini ASAP].
This year I’m doing my Black Friday shopping [from the comfort of my own home] at one my new favorite retailers: Lord & Taylor. And you know what’s making me an even bigger fan of them? Their insane Black Friday sales. A few examples… 40% off boots. $49.99 cashmere. Up to 70% off fine jewelry. 50% off fragrances AND an extra 40% off thousands of newly reduced items. Yep, I’d say that’s enough to make me a big fan.

The first item I had my eye on was this cashmere sweater. When I say those two words- “cashmere sweater” I instantly feel fancy and a bit like smooth butter. Maybe the butter part is weird, but it is what it is. I can’t help how I feel. You won’t find me buying cashmere left and right, so when it’s priced like this, I have to get it.

I also love a tweed coat paired with a bag in a poppin’ color for winter. The contrast against the white snow is unexpected, when it seems like everyone just wants to wear dark colors and hibernate this time of year. I’m all about standing out!

Finally, these black boots were calling my name. You may have heard me talk about how particular I am with finding the perfect “slouch” in my boots, and this pair nailed it. When I’m pairing black jeans with black boots, I try to have a bit of texture in one or the other for contrast, so the slouch in these boots did the trick! I’ve had these jeans in a blue denim for awhile now, so I snagged them in a black to elevate the look a bit!
