They are as awesome as they are intimidating. I was a slow boarder to the faux leather legging train, but now that I am a passenger, I am driving that trend loud and proud. I bought my first pair of faux leather leggings last fall and eagerly look forward to every chance I get to put these bad boys on my body. The problem with these leggings is that they can easily turn into one of those purchases that you make and then you let hang in your closet for months on end without knowing what to wear with them. Today, I’m here to solve that mystery. You may just be surprised how fast you’ll be reaching for these next time you go to get dressed from here on out [they are leggings after all, do you really need much more convincing ;)]
One thing to note, when it comes to pulling off the faux leather legging trend, I think it’s important to choose the right pair to add to your closet. There are so many styles out there, however, many styles can look cheap, feel like plastic on or worse, never come off those legs when it’s time to potty [think Kramer in that one Seinfeld episode]. Hands down the BEST pair[s] I have found are Spanx brand at Nordstrom. There are three styles [I may own each pair, guilty as charged] that I highly recommend – the standard faux leather, moto faux leather [super fun for date nights or casual with a tee and sneakers] and the camo pair that are even cuter with those sneakers and sweatshirts. I love the Spanx brand because a) they don’t look like cheap leggings b) they are insanely comfortable c) they aren’t overly warm which means you can wear them year round for the most part d) they give your legs and booty amazing shape!
Today I’ll be sharing with you three looks, all from Nordstrom, the home of most of my clothing. they make it way too easy to buy online [looking at you free shipping / free returns] and they really are a one stop shop for all.of.the.things [work, weekend, workouts, weddings and the list of words that start with a “w’ goes on]. If you are lucky enough to live near a Nordstrom store, be sure to utilize their curbside pickup [magical words] where you can buy online and have it brought out to your car so you don’t have to drag those kiddos in [do you hear that noise? the sound of moms are rejoicing everywhere]. Alright, enough about how great these leggings and Nordstrom are, let’s see how you can wear these sexy things.

Whoever said you can’t wear faux leather leggings to the workplace is a liar. These can easily be dressed up and professional with the help of a cute little dress or long enough tunic! Add in some comfy heels and you are set to rock the office runway! 
Look Two: Day On The Go

Don’t think for a second that you can’t reach for your beloved leggings when it comes time for your kiddos’ Saturday soccer game or solo Target run. Probably one of my favorite ways to wear the faux leather leggings are with sneakers and a casual tee or sweatshirt. To give you a not so obvious idea, I paired the leggings with an open cardigan and tee which is perfect for those days where the temperature can’t decide what it wants to do [aka, every day in Indiana]. 
Look Three: Night Out On The Town
