What I’m Wearing NOW
You know how the holidays are “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year?” I like to consider this the “Can I Wear a Turtleneck Sweater in July because My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Items Just Arrived” time of year. How can I be expected to let these beautiful new items just sit in my closet waiting for the pumpkin spice lattes and apple picking to roll around? YOU EXPECT TOO MUCH OF ME, SEASONS. Luckily, I’ve found a selection of pieces that won’t need to wait until those first few leaves start to turn orange, yellow and red. Yes, you heard me right. These are wear now pieces from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that won’t leave you looking like you’re confused about what season it is.
Assuming you’re not like me, and have NOT pretty much ordered the whole sale, let me fill you in on this one of a kind sale before it’s gone! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open for public access [cardholders and non-cardholders alike!], meaning EVERYONE can shop all the goodies. This is one of the most anticipated sales of the year, where Nordstrom brings out brand new, never before seen arrivals at super sale prices. Items tend to move fast, so be sure to check out before your items disappear! Don’t forget that Nordstrom has FREE shipping and free returns. If you’d rather hop into a store to pick up the looks below, don’t forget about their curbside pickup or the ability to reserve online and then try on in store. The sale is running now until August 5th, with prices going back up on August 6th, so don’t delay!
Perfect Transitional Pieces
Okay, back to focusing on what we can wear now. Let’s kick things off with a casual look that can take you from morning coffee to running errands to an evening baseball game! A simple tee, comfortable jeans, and casual tennis shoes is my go-to outfit for busy days like this. Plus, this cardigan is perfect to keep on hand as the temperatures get cooler in the evenings [and to keep those mosquitos off!]. Also, I LOVE these shoes. The quilting is so cute, and they’re super comfortable for a full day of running around.

Next up, we’ve got this easy throw-on-and-go outfit, perfect for a summer date or a girls night out with friends. I love being able to put on a simple dress and chunky heels and walk out the door feeling put together. This cute green dress is comfortable, lightweight, and could easily be layered with a moto-jacket, blazer, or cardigan for some added warmth as the sun goes down. It doesn’t hurt that these heels will have you feeling like you can dance all night.
Finally, we’ve got an outfit for all you workin’ ladies! This pencil skirt has the perfect amount of stretch to hug in all the right places, and this cami has the prettiest lace to give it some feminine flair. This knit blazer keeps the look office appropriate, but for drinks after work, you could easily rock just the cami and skirt without the blazer. And these heels! Oo baby, I’m pairing these heels with as many outfits as I can right now, and they’ll take you through all four seasons, no matter your climate.
