F-I-N-A-L-L-Y. The time that ALL of us have been waiting for, public access for the 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open and ready for EVERYBODY to get their shop on! Think of it as an all skate, everyone skate. Life [and sales] are so much more fun when we can all participate, yes? For those of you who haven’t been able to shop the last week of life, well congratulations – you are officially much, much richer than I, but also, welcome to the dark [and by dark I mean fashionable and FUN] side of life 😉

While there are literally thousands of items [I may have ordered just a few shy of this number #sorryUPSman] I am hoping this compilation of hits and misses will not just save you some time,  but see the items on a real person and also be able to hear my honest thoughts on sizing, quality, cut and all of that good stuff! If you have been shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale already, you may have missed a thing or two, but have no fear – you have until August 5th to purchase the products at a major discount. After that, prices will go back up to normal.

You may remember when I showed you all here what I actually purchased [I may have accidentally blacked out and purchased a few..hundred other items after this post was published] and now it’s time to tell you exactly how I feel about everything now that I have tried it on, photographed it, begged my husband to let me keep it and all that good stuff. I will say, while I had a lot of things that I absolutely loved, I also had some things that I absolutely hated. Strap on your panties [is that a thing?] and get settled, we’ve got a lot to cover folks. Before we get this party started – remember the following things:

Anniversary Sale Shopping Tips & Tricks

1. Anything that you love and want for yourself, add to your wish list tonight and check out once the sale is live! If it isn’t currently available in your size and color preference, I heard a rumor that items will be restocked for public access so check back often!
2. Remember that Nordstrom always offers free shipping and free returns! Because of this, I would recommend ordering two sizes on things you are unsure of, to make sure that you can get it at the sale price and return the one that doesn’t work!
3. Some of the items I mention may currently be out of stock, but check back often for restocks! We’ll also be notifying you of restocks over on our Facebook page and Insiders group [highly recommend joining the group for a ton of helpful info and nightly giveaways!]
4. Keep in mind that while the sale lasts until 8/5, things go quick so don’t be like N*Sync and have to say “bye, bye, bye” to everything before it’s gone – shop early!

It has a great stretch to it and will make any work day feel a little better! 

HIT: Slouchy Pocket Henley [true to size, wearing in small] I love these for layering or alone! You can tuck or leave it untucked! Also stretchy and comfortable!  HIT: rag & bone/JEAN Raw Hem Ankle Skinny Jeans [true to size, wearing in 26] These are such a yes in my book, I love the raw hem, they are so soft and true to size and the perfect length for me! They are so soft, they are a little longer than I would prefer, but still overall a great pair of jeans! I also like that they have some distressing but that it’s not overly done! MISS: PAIGE Hoxton High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans [true to size, wearing 26]. I have owned Paige jeans in the past and I’ve always found them to stretch out and bag out in the knee area. They are super soft but based on past experience, they are going back!  MISS: KUT from the Kloth Natalie Stretch Bootleg Jeans [true to size, wearing in 2] If I were taller, I would love these, however, due to the length they won’t work for me. If you are looking for a non-skinny option and have long legs, you may just love these!

HIT: Taylor Shift Dress [true to size, wearing in small] I love this dress! It’s so easy to throw on and go! Regular bra works just perfect and it has pockets! Lined and not sheer!HIT: Leith Melange Wrap Dress [size up if in between, wearing in XS but could have done in small]  This dress is super comfortable and has a flattering waist line. It could easily be dressed up with heels or down with sandals. It is a little more vavoom than I’m used to, but not too much to where it is uncomfortable. HIT: Gibson Knot Front Stretch Knit Body-Con Dress [size up if you prefer a looser fit, wearing in XS but could have done small] This dress is very flatting dress with the cute cross knot in the front! Work or play, this baby is your ticket! HIT: Vince Camuto Ponte Midi Skirt [size down, wearing in XS] This skirt is so stretchy and comfortable! The length is longer than what I normally wear for a pencil skirt, but I like it! This is great for an office!  MISS: Leith Sleek Knit Midi Dress [size up, wearing in XS but yikes, need a small or medium] This dress is too form fitting for my comfort. I didn’t love how it hugged me in the wrong areas and showed every roll possible. They also showed a decent amount of cleavage, going back!

HIT: Nordstrom Lingerie Moonlight Pajamas[true to size, wearing in XS] These are SO soft and comfortable! I love these oh so much and they encourage sleep at all times. I will happily oblige… HIT: Zella High Waist Live In Leggings [true to size, wearing in XS] My favorite leggings on the planet! They stay up and stay in good shape for years. If you don’t own these, you should absolutely try these during the sale! HIT: Make + Model Too Cool Pullover and  Make + Model Too Cool Shorts [true to size, wearing in small in both] I LOVE these PJ’s. Make and Model is my favorite loungwear brand – not only are they so soft and cozy, they are so cute! HIT: Make + Model ‘Gotta Have It’ V-Neck Tee [size down if in between, wearing in XS + Make + Model Dreamy Fleece Jogger Pants [size up, wearing in XS but need in small] Again, the comfiest loungewear ever. End of story. 

HIT: Zella Harlow Wrap Hoodie Jacket [size down if in between, wearing in small but would prefer XS] This is SUPER soft and I  love the drape of it. It’s not too bulky, but lays nicely. Love it! MISS: Zella ‘Plank’ Pants [size up if in between, wearing in XS but need small] I’m not a huge fan of the flare because I feel like they are awkward to wear with shoes and they are quite long on me. I’ll stick to the skinny leggings! MISS: Zella High Waist V-Back Ankle Leggings [size up, wearing in XS but need small] While I love Zella leggings, I don’t think I love white leggings. Too much seeing of things if you know what I mean. I do love the mesh on the sides, however! Going back!

HIT: Herschel Supply Co. Strand Flight Satin Duffel Bag This is the PERFECT travel bag! I love that I could hold my water on the outside, that it is waterproof and the cutest color! Perfect size! 

HIT: Sole Society ‘Lacie’ Faux Leather Duffel Bag You can’t beat a good Sole Society duffel bag, I always use these for travel and weekend getaways. Big enough to fit everything I need! For the price, they are an amazing value! HIT: Sole Society Fronto Faux Leather Tote This comes with an attached clutch and is a great under $50 option! BP. Ripped High Waist Skinny Jeans

HIT: Tory Burch Marsden Leather Wallet Crossbody Bag I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I liked this crossbody bag. It will be perfect for travel, concerts and any time I’m on the go. Great quality and plenty of pocket space on the inside!HIT: Tory Burch Marsden Pebbled Leather Tote This bag is a beauty. While it is a little spendy, I could see myself using it quite a bit as it does fit a laptop which is nice for days at the office and on the go. I love the blush color and gold chain detail, definitely a favorite from the sale! HIT: Longchamp Bag I now get the Longchamp hype. I love that you can adjust this to be different bag sizes with the zip of a zipper! The yellow is so fun! HIT: BaubleBar Twilight Set of 2 Earrings I absolutely love these! You get TWO pairs of earrings which actually equates to FOUR different earrings because you can wear them as a stud only or stud and hoop option together! Such a great buy!
