4 Affordable Dresses For Your Next Spring Event

April 18, 2018

The number one request we are getting from readers right now [other than “how can I get my husband’s stomach to look like Ryan Gosling’s in Crazy, Stupid, Love?!”] has got to be “I have an event coming up this spring – what should I wear!?” The lucky ones have the Derby, the unfortunate ones have funerals, almost everybody and their sister has a shower of some type, the mom’s have graduations, the youth have weddings, the giving have fundraisers, and the list goes on and on and on. Well, good news you party goers, we’re here to your rescue [similar to what a doctor does during an open heart surgery, except our business is much, much more vital to your well being ;)] We rounded up four of our favorites [three of which are under $100] and are bringing you some adorable and affordable options, all from Macy’s. They have such a huge variety of options for you when it comes to spring dressing at prices that don’t hurt to pay. Let’s dive in and see what I found for your next shindig!

First up is this watermelon duo – I love taking two colors that you wouldn’t think to pair together and then see what type of colorful magic they can make together. I am especially loving this coral with the kelly green shoes. Add in the pops of scallops all over the place and I couldn’t love it more. This outfit is perfect for a wedding, baby or bridal shower or heck, church on Sunday’s or work on Monday’s.

Maison Jules Scalloped Fit & Flare Dress [size up one] // Steve Madden Women’s Carrson Ankle-Strap Dress Sandals [true to size]

Next up, if you like to cover those legs a little bit more [I get it, shaving is a pain], you may want to opt for a maxi dress. This floral chiffon beauty is so breezy and beautiful, I can’t help but think about how great it would be for a wedding. The wrap front gives you a little bit of sexy without exposing too much. To keep the look feminine and light, I went with a natural nude sandal – I especially love the ones here as the heel is low which means you’ll be able to actually enjoy yourself all evening and won’t leave you wishing you would have stayed on the couch in your pajamas all night instead.

Sangria Chiffon Floral Faux-Wrap Maxi Dress [true to size] // I.n.c. Hadwin Scallop Two-Piece Sandals [true to size]

Back to my adoration for pairing colors, while the first look above was all things watermelon, I tried to stick with more of a banana theme for this one [if only I enjoyed eating fruit as much as I enjoy dressing like it…] This body-con dress is all sorts of chic yet super classic and timeless. If yellow isn’t your thing, it’s okay because it does come in your classic black and white as well. I love this outfit for a baby shower thanks to its neutral baby hues.

1.state Off-The-Shoulder Flounce Dress [true to size] // I.n.c. Kivah Two-Piece Sandals [true to size]

Last but certainly not least, the ultimate garden party look. I can’t get over this floral pattern, the fabric of this dress and then of course – the shoes [it’s always the shoes]. If you want to stand out at your next event, this look is for you.

Adrianna Papell Printed Fit & Flare Dress [true to size] // I.n.c. Women’s Rosiee T-Strap Embellished Evening Sandals [true to size]

Now who’s ready to party? Hopefully these four looks helped inspire you for what to wear to your next spring event! Remember to check out Macy’s for all of your outfit needs. Next on my list – spring home refresh. Stay tuned for how I turned to Macy’s for that project as well! Which look from above are you loving the most?
