Warm Weather Outfits For Your Next Vacation

February 28, 2018

It’s no secret that I love nothing more than a good ole tropical vacation – hand me a pina colada poolside with a book in my hand and absolutely nothing on the agenda other than a beachside dinner and I’m 100% in my element. Then again, who isn’t in their element when they are responsible for NOTHING?! Oh, vacation, I love you. With a ton of vacations on the horizon for people in the next month or two, we thought it would be fun to do a 3-part travel series, starting with the most important — what to pack. Over the next week, we will be sharing two additional posts — how to pack it all [so excited about this post] and then the final post on travel tips and tricks to make your vacations even less stressful and easier to tackle your endless days of sunshine.

Now, on today’s post — what to pack. I turned to Nordstrom for all of today’s outfits because just like I like my vacations, I want things to be easy and with Nordstrom being a one-stop shop for EVERYTHING when it comes to my wardrobe, I figured it was a good place to start. It doesn’t hurt that they have an entire section dedicated to warm weather vacation pieces [thank you, Nordstrom, for always making my life infinitely easier] and the whole free shipping + free returns make it a no-brainer. Whether it be swimsuits, coverups, sandals, dresses, shorts, tops, luggage or anything in between, they’ve got you covered. Here are a few looks that I picked up to take on my next warm weather trip, which happens to be Gulf Shores, Alabama happening in a month!

First up is that little dress you see above with the CUTEST pair of espadrille wedges that I can’t get enough of. Having a fun little lightweight dress for vacation is a perfect option for dinner. Keep it comfortable with wedges [nobody wants to be struggling in stilettos while walking around] and you’re good to go! Chelsea28 Off the Shoulder Crepe Dress [true to size, wearing in XS] // MARC FISHER LTD Andrew Espadrille Wedge Sandal [true to size] // Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Strapless Bra // Treasure & Bond Organic Oval Hoop Earrings

Of course, keeping things a little more casual is often 10x more appealing after a long day in the sun. Grab a cute little tank or top, your favorite pair of denim shorts [my favorite pair being these] and your favorite flat and enjoy the good life.Treasure & Bond Off the Shoulder Sweatshirt [true to size, wearing in XS] // Women’s Caslon Denim Boyfriend Shorts [size down] // Converse Chuck Taylor(R) ‘Shoreline’ Sneaker [true to size]

Lush Side Slit Tank [true to size, wearing in small] // Treasure & Bond High Waist Boyfriend Cutoff Denim Shorts [ [true to size] // Sam Edelman Gigi Sandal [size up .5]

One thing I love taking with me on vacations is maxi dresses. There’s just something about the flow and ease of them that scream vacay to me. Super easy to pack and throw on! I love this floral print and how well it pairs with simple slide sandals for an easy, breezy look. Mary & Mabel Maxi Dress [true to size, wearing in XS] // Treasure & Bond Mere Flat Slide Sandal [true to size] // Chelsea28 Casey Geometric Cutout Faux Leather Tote & Pouch

Lush Surplice Maxi Dress [true to size, wearing in small] // Treasure & Bond Sannibel Platform Wedge Sandal [size up]

Next vacation trend I am loving right now — linen. Linen just screams warm weather and because it’s so lightweight, it is the perfect thing to throw in your suitcase that won’t weigh it down. These pants are a DREAM. So comfortable and can easily be worn with a cute top to go out or over your swimsuit while on the beach. Whatever you do, get yourself a pair of linen pants. Treasure & Bond Ribbed Racerback Tank [SO soft, true to size, wearing in XS] // Caslon(R) Drawstring Linen Pants [true to size, wearing in XS// Sam Edelman Gigi Sandal [size up .5] // Treasure & Bond Slub Knit Panama Hat // Treasure & Bond Stone Drop Station Necklace // Chelsea28 Casey Geometric Cutout Faux Leather Tote & Pouch

To continue the linen trend, I picked up this top with the cutest little sleeve detail and whether you pair it with jeans, shorts or white denim, you can’t go wrong with this lightweight top. Caslon(R) Ruched Sleeve Linen Pullover [true to size, wearing in small] // Wit & Wisdom Super Smooth Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans [size down] // Treasure & Bond Sannibel Platform Wedge Sandal [size up]

Last but certainly not least, if there is ever a time to add some bold colors to your outfits, it’s while on vacation in some tropical destination! When I saw this top I knew it was such a fun one to try – the color, the eyelet detail, the bell sleeve, just yes.Caslon(R) Eyelet Bell Sleeve Top [true to size, wearing in small] // KUT from the Kloth Mia Skinny Jeans [true to size, wearing in small] // MARC FISHER LTD Andrew Espadrille Wedge Sandal [true to size]

So there you have it friends, 8 different outfits for your next trip! Now the only thing to figure out is how you can get me in that suitcase….I promise I make an excellent vacation sidekick.
