A few things – for starters, it is almost painful for me to post pictures of my old hair right now. I just keep looking back at it thinking “what the heck was going on there?!” I know I need to get over it, but I also need to do things like not fall asleep with makeup on or eat donut holes every thirty seconds [perfect segway in a workout wear post, yes?] so there you have it. Now that we got that disclaimer out in the open, we can continue on to the point of this post. I recently hit up my local Kohl’s in search of some new workout wear that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg [I feel like those limbs of mine are going through enough already thanks to things like dumbbells, squats, kettlebells and all of those other words I typically like to avoid] and was hoping they could deliver. I’m not sure why I hadn’t thought to check out their activewear recently but after a few of my friends talked about their adoration for all things Tek Gear [a brand sold at Kohl’s] I thought I should check it out plus, Kohl’s Cash. Need I say more? Here’s the good news — they certainly delivered on having a huge variety of activewear at insanely good prices. The bad news? I felt like I needed it all. I’ve somehow successfully stayed working out over the past few weeks [my diet has been another story, hence the donut hole comment, can’t win at everything] and have loved pushing myself in new ways that involve something other than laying on the couch or in the bath. Totally not knocking baths but they don’t do a ton of great things for your biceps. Whether I’m at the gym or trying to squeeze a quick workout in at home [thank you workout DVDs and Instagram videos] I’ve finished every workout happy that I chose to do it. The only downside? The laundry.
