If you were to ask me if I believe there is anything better than sitting outside, preferably early evening with either a cup of hot coffee or a glass of a chilled Riesling, sitting around a fire, listening to music while laughing with friends I would tell you no. Well unless you added in the piece about how Ryan Reynolds could be sitting right next to me in which case, yes – it could be much much better.
A few months ago while we were on our California adventures at one of our favorite resorts we had the most comfortable, vibrant and fun Adirondack chairs on our balcony and we were hooked instantly.
We knew we wanted to bring a little bit of paradise into our own backyard and ironically enough, the company that constructs them is actually in our backyard [okay so maybe 30 minutes from it, but close enough]. Looking at you POLYWOOD….

When we re-did our patio last fall and added a side area, we were unsure of how we wanted to fill that space. Do we put a hot tub there? Do we make it a grilling station? Do we set up a bar? Or, do we stick with what’s simple and will guarantee to get used by simply sitting a fire pit in the center and smack four of the best chairs around it?

Absolutely no painting, staining, waterproofing or other maintenance applications are necessary for outdoor use which makes me one happy camper. Because POLYWOOD was wise enough to know that women like options, they sell their products in 13 different lumber colors – we went with lime but it was a close call between the aruba or lemon.
We have spent hours “testing” them out and I can guarantee you they are the best Adirondack chair you’ll ever sit in. Needless to say, we are in love with our new set-up and well, so are our friends.
