Snacking Smarter with SkinnyPop

May 7, 2016

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SkinnyPop. All opinions are 100% mine.

Just popping in real quick [see what I did there?] to share with you a new favorite snack of mine. Literally. We have 5 giant bags of this stuff in our pantry as we speak and it’s one of those “can’t stop, won’t stop, don’t ever want to stop” type of things. Because here’s the deal – I am a huge snacker. It’s my jam. If snacking was a sport, I would win first prize every time. Except here’s the problem, often times snacks lead to a lot of calories. And here’s why it’s a problem – bikini season is upon us and guess what doesn’t pair well with bikinis? Calorie laden snacks that’s what.
So back to what I was saying about my new favorite snack though, SkinnyPop, is what I am referring to. Tell me you’ve had it. Salty, crunchy, perfectly popped and that’s just the beginning. The best thing about this popcorn [other than the delicious flavor] is that it is made of very minimal simple ingredients [the original flavor only has 3 – popcorn, sunflower oil and salt!], is super easy to eat [just reach in the bag, grab a handful and pop it in your mouth] and comes in four flavors – Original, White Cheddar, Sea Salt & Pepper and Naturally Sweet. My personal favorite is the Sea Salt & Pepper mainly because it reminds me of one of my favorite childhood groups 😉

Found at Walmart, SkinnyPop is also always free of artificial ingredients and flavors, non GMO, gluten free, dairy free, peanut free, tree nut free, preservative free, zero trans fat and is a good source of fiber. Basically it’s the new miracle feed or so I’m deeming it that. I love knowing that I can snack on SkinnyPop without compromising great flavor. Guilt free is the way to be.

We recently had a few friends over for a boat ride and of course that means “eat all of the food and drink all of the drinks” as well. Fortunately, said friends are also trying to be a little more health conscious as we are approaching summer so we busted out the SkinnyPop, some carrots, strawberries, raspberries, cheese and water. A nice little mixture of salty and sweet and all good for you options that didn’t have anybody rushing to put their shirt on immediately following said snack break. Winning.

If you too are a popcorn lover but don’t want all of the preservatives and other ugly stuff that comes with it, remember to grab your own bag[s] of SkinnyPop at Walmart.com and get to snackin’. You won’t regret a single kernel, guaranteed.
