I don’t mention her all that much on my blog, but my sister is a rock star. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with one older sister [a solid 4 years on me] who couldn’t be better. She tirelessly gives of herself to her family and friends never expecting anything in return, while I’m all like “but where’s my prize for babysitting?!” This past weekend she hosted a fairy garden and gnome party for my adorable little nieces and all of their friends (more of the cuteness later) so I figured she was about due for a little R&R (something about 15 little kids running around at her house last weekend, I don’t know).
A few weeks ago I was at Target, shocker, and found myself in the wine aisle, another shocker. I saw the cutest wine bottles from Middle Sister Wines and knew I had to pick up a bottle for her. Even more fitting was the type of wine I chose for her – Goodie Two Shoes Pinot Noir.
You see, the Middle Sister brand is based on a series of quirky middle sister characters who each have a personality of their own. Fitting as my sister has most likely never done anything wrong in her life. Or so I’m convinced. Meanwhile, I have been blessed with a little bit more of the rebel genes so to speak. Thankfully they have a rebel red blend made just for my liking 😉 All of their wines hail from either California or Argentina and their labels are the cutest things ever which feature their “drops of wisdom” that feature a dose of inspiration right on the label. After picking up the wine, I knew I needed a few other things to pair with it. Here’s what I came up with for her to unwined [pun intended] from the craziness of life and indulge in herself for a little while.
Put it all together in a cute little basket and bam, a quick and easy way to celebrate the one who has taught me everything I should be doing but don’t 😉 Love you so much sister – thank you for being the best friend a girl could have.
When’s the last time you have done something nice for your sister? Go grab some Middle Sister Wine and get to celebrating that kinship!
