It’s called being a lazy blogger. You should be used to this by now.
Without further ado, currently I am….
Eating: Jimmy Johns (slim one) and jalapeno chips sucker. To clarify I am not eating a sucker, I just called you one. I do this only because I used to get in trouble as a child for saying that word. Now that I am 18+ I feel like I can shout it from the rooftops without getting my middle name thrown back in my face.
Purchasing: Mint shorts and a sexy little cover-up from Target along with the most beautiful jewelry from Curious Creatures.
July 8th is the big day of his arrival and my armpits are already sweating. I wouldn’t be nervous about this but then I went and watched vlogs I have done in the past. I compared my tripod falling over to the hurricane that swept through the east coast in this one. God bless America, what is my problem? Anyhow you need to be following Chris (Ashton Kutcher look alike and husband to the most beautiful woman ever, Casey) along on Instagram @chriswiegand for his journey while filming this whole documentary. It is so fun watching the bloggers revealed who’s homes he is stopping at along the way. I believe there are 50 or so of us awkward ladies being filmed. I stand corrected. There will be one awkward girl and 49 other talented, normal women. Stay tuned.
Contemplating: Signing up for BlogHer. Worth it? Not worth it? Really I just want to be able to write reviews for Malibu Spiced Rum.
Listening To: Cups from the Pitch Perfect soundtrack. It’s my jam.
Reading:Momastery’s latest post. Just when I think she can’t speak to me anymore, she up and does. Good stuff right there.
Thinking About: What being a blogger really is. I saw something yesterday that referenced bloggers thinking that they are celebrities. It stopped me for a solid minute. They were right. We aren’t celebrities. We are however people who happen to be role models and people of influence/inspiration to thousands of people we have never met. We are open and vulnerable on a daily basis and often a safe place to land for people all over the world. We are a common voice. So while it may not be a celebrity status, it carries a lot of importance behind it. Bloggers are parallel to non bloggers, we all just want to love and be loved..no matter what. And that’s really all there is to it.
Feeling: Grateful. Especially grateful for the relationships that have been planted into my life recently. There have been several good, truth telling, life filling conversations I have been apart of recently and it just feels good you know? Go dig a little deeper with the people you can see face to face once in awhile. That is one task that I don’t think you will ever regret.
Craving: Live music. Thank goodness I have Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Luke Bryan, and Jake Owen lined up over the next month or two.
Ending This: Because one of our male friends is supposedly on his way over and there was talk of cigars.
I am a sucker for a good cigar every now and again. Puff puff peace. Which reminds me..I should probably go pants on for his arrival.
Because I mentioned this shop above I am going to mention it here again (it’s that good). Curious Creatures houses some of the most simplistic, unique, beautiful jewelry I’ve seen in a long time.
It is that kind of jewelry that you can both dress up and dress down and for that, I am sold. And because I believe you all need to own a piece of this handmade goodness, you can use the coupon code YELLOW10 for 10% off your order now through the end of July. Buy yourself something, buy somebody else something, just buy it. It’s that serious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
