Hey all you LIY peeps! I’m Melissa…a 20 something graphic designer who is obsessed with all things creating (whether it be designing, baking or crafting). This past year, I opened my full service Graphic Design shop, Melissa Rose Design. And today, I’m hijacking Erin’s blog to share with you some thoughts about blog design and branding.

In addition to working with this one amazeball blogger (her words, not mine), I’ve also had the opportunity to work with some other wondeful bloggers on custom blog designs. Each of which I had so much fun designing!
After working on nearly 50 custom blog designs this past year, I’ve noticed the effects of what a cohesive design can say about a blog. Without a significant change in content, you can grow your blog by presenting yourself in an more professional way.

Whether relates to your blog design or your business branding, the look of your brand is everything. Sure, your brother’s best friends girlfriend could whip up a logo for you, but 99% of the time, it’s going to look like your brother’s best friends girlfriend made it. Simple truth.
The good news is that you don’t have to spend a fortune rebranding. You have options. In addition to custom blog design & branding , premade blog templates and premade Etsy Shop Sets are another option if you’re looking to spice up your blog.
