If I could do anything…
I would be a bank teller.
Or a lawn mower {and I don’t mean the actual piece of equipment, I mean I would mow yards}.
Or be a detective..I’ve always been good at opening other people’s mail
{I was young and dumb. Don’t hate}
And I would do any of the above only part-time. Maybe three days a week.
Or two if I really felt like over-achieving.
And the other days of the week?
I would write-I would shop-I would volunteer-I would try to do crafts-I would lay out-And I would clean.
And somewhere along the lines I would add kids to the mix.
And then I would eliminate almost everything I said above aside from clean
{I imagine that would be my nap-time activity?}
But then we would draw on our sidewalks with chalk-Make macaroni and cheese with peas for nearly every lunch-and fly kites at a local park. And then when it was time for the man to get home, we would anxiously wait in the kitchen ready to trample him when he walks through the door.
And then our house would like a mini zoo with little monkeys hanging all over him.
{I imagine that would be my nap-time activity?}

And I am pretty sure I would love every minute of it.
{Besides the little moments of meltdowns, poopy diapers, pulling stones out of their mouths-and drool all over my shoulder.}
But then I would get over it because they will be the cutest thing alive.
And life would be good.
But for now-I will work full-time, write when I have time, lay out on my one afternoon off a week, make dinner for my hubby, hang out with friends on the weekends, and occasionally daydream about the day when our family is more than me and him.
And between now and then-I will continue to love every minute of this life I have been given and cherish each and every moment of it.
Because no matter what-this life is great and I would not change it for the world.
