Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and the whole LIY team has pretty much agreed that we don’t want “stuff” – we want time spent together [or okay, maybe some time spent alone… #confessions… whoops!]. This will be my first Mother’s Day with Crew at home – last year we celebrated a few days after he was born while he was in the NICU, so to be able to have him in my arms this Mother’s Day at our family celebration, will be extra sweet. My perfect Mother’s Day gift – a spa day for myself! There is nothing better than a few hours of time to just relax, be still, not worry about which furniture piece he’s trying to pull himself up onto next, and come back feeling refreshed and ready to hold my sweet baby all over again!

Motherhood has been a wild ride full of unexpected twists and turns, but I wouldn’t trade a day of it for anything! Being these kiddos’ mom is the greatest blessing I’ve ever, and could ever be given! Our oldest was married earlier this year to a wonderful man, and while I’ve moved into a totally new phase of mothering with her I’m still very much in the – daily mom taxi, “what homework do you have today?,” “time to put your coat and shoes on,” cuddles on the couch phase. My favorite way to unwind is to dive into a book, and this Book of the Month Subscription looks like the perfect gift to keep my TBR pile from every running out!

Personalized Necklace
I actually gifted myself this necklace 
with both of my boys names on it! I love it and think it would make a great gift for any Mom, Grandma, etc.! In this season with two little ones [and quite a lack of sleep happening 😶🌫️] there are moments where I lose my patience, I wish I had a moment for myself, or feel as if I’ve lost parts of who I am – but all of that is overpowered by the most magical and beautiful sense of purpose and love for these sweet boys. It is truly the greatest honor and privilege to get to raise them and to be their Mom! Seeing the world through their eyes makes every day a new adventure.

SPAFINDER GIFT CARD
To be honest, I’d be solid with 3 calls from my boys – just wishing me Happy Mother’s Day… that’s what fills my heart the most – just hearing from them! BUT if they were to want to send their old mom a little TLC I’d happily take any gift card to a SPAFINDER! Who doesn’t love to pick their service and where they want it done? This is by far the best gift to give any hard working mom, gal pal, friend, etc! Garden Gloves
I appreciate a good sentimental gift but I tend to be more of a practical gift girl. The last few years on Mother’s Day, my boys have gifted gardening accessories [boots, stools, tools and gloves]. The timing works well because in Indiana, that’s our safe date to plant!
