Our Secrets to Keeping Things Heated

November 30, 2023

Team LIY

Before you get too worried [or excited 🤣] about the contents of today’s post, let me set the record straight – sounds spicy, but really we’re just sharing our favorite items to stay warm while getting some fresh air as the temps drop 🔥 We love the cozy season but that also comes with some chilly days when you still want to be able to enjoy the great outdoors! We are sharing our favorite items from heated vests to tabletop fire pits to help keep things heated this season.

p.s. 3 yummy campfire recipes this way!

Erin’s Heated Vest

Heated Vest [on sale! true to size, wearing in small]

After being convinced by the LIY Community that I needed to jump on the heated vest and jacket train, I decided to give it a go and whoa, am I glad I did. This vest is the ultimate answer to how to stay warm during the freezing months outside – the battery pack heats this vest up [everywhere from the chest to around the neck and everywhere in between]. My husband now owns the coat and wore it recently to tailgate and it was a lifesaver! Great gift to give as well!

Erin’s Fleece Lined Faux Leather Leggings

Fleece Lined Leggings [LIYXSPANX for 10% off, size up if in between, wearing in small] // AirEssentials Cardigan [LIYXSPANX for 10% off, true to size, wearing in small] // Sneakers [size up .5]

If you like the regular SPANX Faux Leather Leggings, you will LOVE this new fleece-lined version for winter! I love that they don’t add any bulk to your legs like some do, that you can still dress them up [or down], but they keep your legs nice and warm thanks to the super soft interior fleece lining!

Erin’s Fleece Lined Socks

Fleece Lined Socks

They really are as heavenly as they look! Super soft and warm fleece lining throughout makes these even better than slippers [who wants their ankles exposed?] Luxe gift to give as well!

Erin’s Heated Throw

Faux Fur Heated Throw // See more options here!

I was given this as a gift a couple of years ago from my parents and it’s still one of my most used items in our house come winter! There is nothing better than ending the day on the couch snuggled up under this heated throw with the dogs by my side and something good on TV [and in my cup]!

Jen’s Sorel Boots

Sorel Waterproof Boots [size up .5 if wearing with thick socks]

I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to checkout on these boots! They are SO warm and Extremely comfy! I am between 8.5-9 and went with the 9 on these… they are perfect and I still have room to toss on a thicker pair of socks for the ultimate WARM FEET!

Jen’s Electric Heater

Duraflame Electric Fireplace Heater

Cute & actually puts out some heat…. yes please! I recently swapped out my old space heater for this sweet cutie and I’m so happy I did! She simply is so quaint and cute I can’t stop staring at her!

Katy’s NFL Smokeless Fire Pit

NFL Smokeless Fire Pit

Cozy up outside with a backyard bonfire! We received this smokeless fire pit a couple years ago as a gift from my in-laws and I love it!

Skye’s Tabletop Fire Pit

Firepit // Fuel

Hey LIY Fam – Skye here! I saw a video on IG where someone shared this tiny indoor firepit in their bedroom and when I tell you I’ve never ordered something so fast – I couldn’t wait to *fire* this little guy up! So easy to use, does not put off hardly any heat at all, and takes your room from cozy to romantic, warm, and snuggly in a snap. I am OBSESSED!

Allison’s Rechargeable Hand Warmer

Rechargeable Hand Warmer

Allison here! When I walk outside during cold days, the tips of my fingers always turn white and my hands freeze even with gloves on! A man at a baseball game back had this USB rechargeable hand warmer, and I thought it was genius! I immediately got on Amazon and ordered 2! It keeps the charge for 6-12 hours, and it has 2 settings, low and high.

Devon’s Propane Heater

Propane Heater

I love spending time on our patio, but I didn’t want the colder temps to keep me from enjoying it. This heater is shockingly powerful. The warm air reaches to the edge of the patio! This guy has already changed my winter for the better!

Steph’s Electric Heater + Solo Stove

Electric Heater + Solo Stove

We recently won this Solo Stove at a charity silent auction. I will be the first to admit, when my husband started bidding on it, I really didn’t think we needed it because we have a perfectly good brick fire pit out in our yard. I’m so glad we won this though! It truly is smoke free, and an easy way to build a fire on our patio to be warm and cozy by the outdoor sectional. This Electric Heater has been a fun addition to our patio as well. I do think it would be more effective in a covered porch area rather than our pergola that is wide open. It still puts off heat, just not as much as I need to keep me outside for long in the Winter. Bonus – it’s electric so no need to remember to purchase fuel, and it has a remote start!
