Disclosure: Thank you to Nordstrom and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post. All products were selected, purchased, and loved by yours truly.
It is no secret that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full swing and this girl did her fair share of shopping it. There’s just something about brand new fall gear at 40% off prices that suck me right in and spit my dollars out. While it may be 90 degrees and air that feels as thick as ____ [you can fill in the blank here, my first thought was “my thighs after one too many Crumbl cookies] I can’t help but get a little giddy inside to think about cooler days that will bring layers, booties, and a glass of red in my hands.
Today I thought I’d put together three outfits all centered around one of my favorite bootie purchases from the sale as they are a little higher shaft than most of my other commonly worn booties. Consider it a challenge I gave myself “how do I style these things?!” and the answer is now being shared with you. I’m always happy to be your guinea pig when it comes to all things in life, especially when the challenge involves cute outfits for fall 😉
Before we jump into the outfits, a few quick words about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – it is now live to the public [all skate, everyone skate] and will be going on until July 31st! Once it’s over, it’s over and prices go back up to retail price! Items are selling out fast so I wouldn’t sit around debating if you should hit checkout or not! As always with Nordstrom, you’ll receive free shipping and free returns, making shopping a breeze! If you’d like to see my top picks, you can check them out here!
Girls Night Out
Charles Henry Dress [true to size, wearing in small] // Agnes Western Boot [true to size]
I love this height of booties with dresses and skirts – I paired them with so many different dresses and they looked great with ’em all! The perfect girls/date night out look if I don’t say so myself! See even more dresses to style them with here!
At The Office
Double Breasted Blazer • Treasure & Bond [size down one, wearing in XS] // Cotton Tank • Caslon [size down if in between, wearing in XS] // Donna High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans • KUT from the Kloth [size down if in between, wearing in 2] // Coin Layered Necklace • Madewell // Agnes Western Boot [true to size]
Have no fear, skinny jeans are still here. There’s no easier jean to style with this height of booties because the leg tucks inside easily and you simply slide that bootie over your leg and voila, you’re set! I love this look for the workplace with the oversized blazer and super soft black denim!
A Fall Day
Bobble Cardigan Sweater • Madewell [true to size, wearing in small] // Cotton Tank • Caslon [size down if in between, wearing in XS] // Ex-Boyfriend Relaxed Slim Jeans • AG Jeans [size down if in between, wearing in 26] // Coin Layered Necklace • Madewell // Agnes Western Boot [true to size]
While skinny jeans aren’t going anywhere fast, there is no denying that girlfriend/boyfriend and straight-leg jeans are making a BIG splash on the denim scene. In case you were wondering if you can wear this style with these types of jeans, the answer is yes, yes you can. Either rest the bootie at the top of them or have your denim fall over the top – the world is your oyster, friends.
