It’s officially “sit on the patio and drink cocktails with friends” season! If you’re hosting this summer or you and your guy are in need of something new to drink, we’ve got you covered. We recently asked the guys of LIY to put three new-to-us cocktails to the ultimate taste test. (It didn’t take much convincing and we got three thumbs up!) From a new spin on an old classic to vodka-beer concoctions, here are three easy-to-make beverages that are sure to be crowd pleasers! Bonus: we’re pretty confident you’ll enjoy these too (we sure did!). Cheers!
Summer Beer
Summer Beer, Summer Ale, Summer Brew… whatever you want to call it, this cocktail was made for hot summer days! It’s easy to make (only three ingredients!) and even easier to drink. While it’s hubby approved, you better believe I’ll have a Yeti full of it too! Pro Tip: you can make different variations by swapping out the frozen limeade for other juice concentrates! Cheers!
Summer Beer
Ingredients
- 12 fl. oz. (1 can) Frozen Limeade Concentrate
- 12 fl. oz. Vodka (We use Titos!) I re-use the limeade can to measure!
- 3 cans or bottles Light Beer (We use Corona or Landshark!)
Instructions
-
Mix together in a pitcher and serve over ice! Cheers!
Peach Whiskey
If I’m being honest, this drink was completely made up and discovered when we ran out of beverages on vacation and mixed up everything we had left. Sounds like a good idea, right? Usually, no. In this case, it worked out and has become a staple among our friend group from vacay. It’s super refreshing for summer and you likely already have the three ingredients on hand! Bottoms up!
Peach Whiskey
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz. (one shot) Peach Whiskey
- Equal Parts Sprite or 7-Up
- Equal Parts Triple Sec
Instructions
-
Mix ingredients in glass with ice. Make adjustments as needed. Makes one cocktail. Cheers!
Smoked Manhattan
A fun spin on a classic cocktail – perfect for parties! If you have an Old Fashioned fan in the house, a smoke infuser (use with this dome!) is a great way to shake up the basic beverage. Not to mention it always gets some “ooh’s and ahh’s” out of your guests! How’s that for a party trick?
