Disclosure: Thank you Nordstrom Rack and ShopStyle for sponsoring today’s post. All items were selected, worn, and loved by yours truly!

Welcome to spring sports in the midwest, where I was in a winter coat and snow boots for the first soccer game of the year, and shorts and a tank top by the second weekend’s game. Yes, seriously! It’s just SO easy to figure out what to wear, ha! Lauren here, Content Creator on the LIY Team, and mama to two little ones. My oldest is just getting into sports, but I grew up playing sport after sport, leaving my parents to freeze or fry on the sidelines. Sorry mom and dad. Now it’s my turn to figure out what to wear as I cheer from the sidelines, rain or shine [or snow], and I’m sharing what I’m wearing with you all! My three priorities? Comfortable, versatile, and cute!

I turned to Nordstrom Rack on my search for outfits to wear on the sidelines, because they have so many brands I already know and love, like Zella, Steve Madden, adidas, Cole Haan, and Caslon. Plus, Nordstrom Rack has free shipping over $89, or FREE ship to store! And don’t forget, Nordy Club members can earn rewards such as Nordstrom Notes to use for future shopping trips, free basic alterations, early access to shopping events, and more! If you’re not already a member, signing up is easy and can be done here!

Now, pack up your lawn chair, cooler, and sunscreen, it’s time to head to the fields for a day on the sidelines! Go sports!

For The Wind and Rain

Cole Haan Packable Hood Rain Coat [true to size, wearing medium] // Nordstrom Rack Scoop Neck Slub T-Shirt [true to size, wearing medium] // Democracy Ab Technology Crop Ankle Skinny Jeans [size down, wearing 8 but could have done a 6] // Naturalizer Zola 3 Perforated Slip-On Sneaker [true to size]

It’s inevitable – springtime means wind and rain, and you’re going to need a coat for the weather! And this one is packable into a tiny bag, has a hood, a great cinched waist, and is the perfect length! Bring on the wind and rain!

A Sporty Dress

Z by Zella Volley Tank Dress [size up if in between, wearing in large] // Caslon Classic Denim Jacket [true to size, wearing in medium] // CO LAB Webbed Strap Backpack // adidas Advantage Perforated Stripe Sneaker [true to size]

Who says you can’t wear a dress to sports? I wear a dress whenever I can, and this athleisure dress is a great way to add some chicness into your sideline look! Keep a denim jacket on hand in case it’s cool, and toss on a baseball hat to round out the look! And a backpack will keep you hands free and hold all the snacks, sunscreens, and toys for younger siblings!

The Classic Shorts + Tee

Nordstrom Rack Scoop Neck Slub T-Shirt [true to size] // Supplies by Union Bay Marsha Drawstring Denim Shorts [true to size] // Steve Madden Hoku Slide Sandal [size up .5] // Nordstrom Rack Colorblock Baseball Cap

Bring on that sweet summertime sunshine! Which means… heat! A simple combination of shorts [with an elastic waistband, might I add], a classic white tee, and a baseball cap will keep you comfortable for a long Saturday of cheering!

For Ultimate Comfort

H By Bordeaux Slouchy T-Shirt [true to size, wearing medium] // Z by Zella Replay Slim Fleece Joggers [true to size, wearing medium] // adidas Advantage Perforated Stripe Sneaker [true to size]

Can I be honest? I mean, we’re all friends here right? 9 times out of 10, my sideline outfit looks like joggers or leggings and a tee. Simple, but comfortable. And I just wore these joggers again the other night to soccer practice and was reminded exactly how much I love them!
