I’m sitting in this exact spot as I’m writing today’s post – I would have never guessed when we bought our lake house a year ago that this upstairs loft area would quickly become my afternoon work zone retreat, morning coffee drinking spot on the balcony, and the home of evening movie nights. I always knew this space had great potential, but it needed a vision. It is such a fun area of the home that overlooks the lake and has a great balcony attached, however, up until this point I didn’t know if and how we would utilize the area…until now.

Insert all of my finds from The Home Depot that really made this loft area complete. The Home Depot has an incredible amount of really great decor at prices and quality you will love. I was shocked just how much I found there when browsing online and continue to add to my cart every time I hop on their site. We have had the above couch, but it was time to cozy it up with throws, pillows, and all the texture possible. I loved bringing in the soft knit throw and then grounding the room with something a little more substantial like this round wood coffee table [currently sold out, available in brown here!]

For the entertainment section, I bought this dresser [yes, I bought a dresser to use as an entertainment stand] and it works perfectly! I love the whitewash wood and all of the decorative detail on it. It has plenty of cabinets and drawers for movies, games, and of course – snacks 😉
