The “It” Accessories for Spring

April 28, 2021

Erin Schrader

Spring has sprung, spring has FINALLY sprung!! Shout it from the rooftops! The temperatures are in the 80’s here in Indiana this week and you better believe we’re celebrating extra hard. Because when it snows the week prior, warm weather is something worth celebrating in the Midwest. Confession time: I almost forgot how to dress for this weather when I stepped outside today. It’s been a hot minute [pun intended 😉 ]. If you too are feeling a little rusty when it comes to what to wear these days, never fear– LIY is here. From chunky gold earrings to stacked rings and layered bracelets, today we’re sharing everything you need to know about what we’re deeming the “it” accessories for spring.

Pops of Color

Color Block Leather Crossbody Bag // Sage Earrings // Beaded stretch bracelet • J.Crew // WE by Living in Yellow Buttoned Back Sweater

You can catch me living in yellow [literally] these days. My favorite way to add a spring touch to any look, you ask? Sprinkle a little sunshine all over it. Bright colors are all the rage this season [may I suggest yellow? 😉 ]– and better yet, this is one trend that’s Gen-Z approved that we can totally get on board with. If a colorful closet is nothing new to you, it is officially your time to shine. And if you’re more of a neutral girl, adding in fun pops of color via accessorizing is an easy way to get the look. Viola!

Business Casual-ly Cool

Jupiter Necklace //  Beaded Stretch Bracelet [set of 4] // Hammered Stack Ring [set of 3] // Scalloped Cami Top // Notch Collar Blazer

I’m a firm believer that you can dress for success without sacrificing style. Bottom line: dressing professionally doesn’t have to be boring. Whether you’re back in the office or still Zoom-ready [from the waist up at least 😉 ], stacking and layering jewelry is in wherever you work. Chances are, you’ve seen gold hardware all over the place this year. The good news? It’s not going anywhere. Get to layering, ladies!

Vacay Vibes

Sleeveless Twist Detail Dress // Handwoven Round Rattan Bag // Hera Link Necklace // Beaded Stretch Bracelet [set of 4]

Last, but certainly not least, let’s talk vacation vibes. If you’ve got summer vaca on the brain [you and me both!], you’ve come to right spot. Have you noticed a theme here? If there’s one takeaway from today, it’s that bold colors and alllll the gold bling are making a statement. You can’t go wrong with chunky, layered jewelry right now. So wherever summer vacation takes you – whether that’s the beach or the backyard – nothing pulls an outfit together quite like the accessories. Here’s to sunshine, blue skies, warm days and cold drinks!

Let’s just say, until we started working on this post, I had no idea that there were different pillows for different sleep positions. I figured it was a one-size fits all approach, maybe just a preference of firm or soft! Well, needless to say, I was way off. I also learned that over 70% of […]
